my weapons have no effects. So how do I kill those monters?

read all the notes you will find there .. The 4 wizards of each sections of that level leaved notes in there respectively room. They all explain how to destroy one of the 4 wizards. (I think they don't like each others very much) And, it is not by brute force ...

To make those beasties vulnerable you should poison them. To do it set that engine (or what is it) near Air laboratory to its highest position (just click on it the second time with Staff of Air), and then open doors between Air laboratory and Slime laboratory - poison clouds will go to the ice monsters and then you can hurt them with your weapons. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
