Out of the 20+ fora and email groups I'm using for my research paper, Ironworks is the largest community by far. That is why I'm making another request of this wonderful site and its community.

This site contains a data-gathering project comparing age and computer skill of forum users to content. Problem is, the project's four years out of date. I thought it would be neat to update the research by conducting a similar experiment along the same guidelines. And I'd like to conduct it at Ironworks.

I'm hoping to sample a week's worth of information taken from 4pm EST (3pm CST as in the original project) from across Ironworks' many fora. I've chosen the week: October 19-25. I know what I'm looking for: cross-check general poster age and ability with jargon usage, contraction usage, number of emoticons, so called "1337-speek", and syntax misuse (word order, prefix/suffix mixups, punctuation or lack thereof, etc.). I won't be using any names of Ironworks members, real or usernames, and my preliminary research is for my eyes only--the only part that's going in my paper is a statistics chart.

May I use Ironworks for this project? With full credit given, naturally. ;)
