Any fans out here? I bought a couple copies, and I must say, the articles are very will written, better then the stereotypical angry redneck articles that my liberal friends keep telling me the magazine is full of.

That magazine is legal in Canada?

Aerich 07-06-2004 03:26 AM

Every* magazine is legal in Canada.

*Except those containing foul language, cool cars, socially disreputable people, controversial people, and people likely to offend anyone at all. And every magazine must have a mandatory igloo picture somewhere in the first 37 pages and contain an ad trashing American beer or Canadian politicians. Really. It's true.

What is that magazine about? Mercenaries?

Xen 07-06-2004 05:25 AM

shadowhound 07-06-2004 06:44 AM

I have only heard little bits about this magazine, so what I know is probably bias.

Are you planning on going on a nice trip?
To earn tax free money?
I'm figuring you are bout half my age, with more than less that of experience. As a career soldier, I have only read maybe 10 articles, and possibly flipped through one whole mag once. I have been offered mega bucks for my skills, tax free, and my choice of armor and wepon layout. I've been to that god for saken desert more than I want to count. Do you know why those people act that way?
Here is a secret. It's freaking over 100* every day for more than 120 days there, no A/C, no running water, and personal hygeine was unheard of until soldiers showed up. My last departure was 15 MAY, it was 1100Hrs, and a moderate 119*F or roughly 48.3c for those in the know.

Oh, my bag. You wanted to know about the mag. Good articles on new equipment, ammo, and the likes.

Do you remember a small place called Oklohoma City? See, there was this guy, lets call him SPC Mc Veigh, he used to read this mag every month. Being a grunt, nobody thought much of it. But once he comitted his atrocity, the media ran with the story long and hard. That very well may be why your peer's dislike it.
