Guys,

How do you rate monks as a character class?.

My monk has 114% magical resistance,
very fast movement,
five attacks per round
immune to normal weapons, poison, disease, haste, slow, charm

Oh welcome! sorry I forgot to say the 1st time round.
Monks would be better with the bonus disk's Scarlet Ninja-To.
Monks also are virtually unhittable by missiles, except from a very good archer.
Down side is monks can't use their other hand!
P.S. Monks can't wear helmets but can wear the stone things, and monks get -1AC/2levels.

A bit of a mixed response there!.

Do they get their multiple attacks with a weapon or just unarmed?.

In a word------- awesome. not only do they geta faster movement rate as they gain levels they gain some killer attacks. Quivering palm ROCKS. not only do they become immune to normal weapons at higher levels theyre fists become +3 weapons. and if you have gauntlets of crushing...... look out.

then theres the immunities to poison and magic and so on as mentioned above.

Monks are good. They're better with out weapons though because they can only get 2 attacks with them I think. with their fists they get 4 or 5 plus cool attacks like stunning blow and quivering palm

BOW TO THE MONKS! Monks are great. Fast movement, magic resistnace, low AC, the fancy special abilities, etc. Not necessarily the best, but great. Bow down!

Clarify needed!
Why does the character info page say 5 attacks per round when I am using a sword!? And I do get 5 attacks a round I think.
My monk whiped out my level 20 paladin one on one without any fancy palm abilities.

Avatar- do you have the patch installed? I think there was a bug where he did get those extra attacks, but he's not meant to (I'm not sure if it's in the official patch or in the Baldurdash one though)
