Okay I met the vampire lady in the cemetary and now im working for her.. is that a good or bad thing....

IM A NEWB! anyone have any tips for the charpter i am on or around

i have shadowkeeper, and i think i just got all the fixes.

i want a romance

well youre working for bodhi(the vampire lady) ofcourse thats a bad thing...if youve got an evil aligned character stay on course or reload the game & take up aran linvails offer (the shadow thief) if youre working for the thieves your have to fight the undead & if youre working for bodhi you'll have to fight the thieves (thats your tip)

If your character is male, you can have a romance with Aerie, Jaheira or Viconia, And if she is female, Anomen.

you can't kill Bodhi... yet. Just go along with it and when you are asked if you want to take the evil or good quest chose the good one. You should be okay but I think some NPC's like Mazzy and Keldorn don't like it if you side with Bodhi that's what I've read on this forum anyway. As for quests good ones to do for a young party are all the ones in Athkatla districts apart from the Temple District which has a difficult quest. Outside Athkatla Nalias's keep and the Trademeet and Umar hills quests are worth doing as they get you some new NPC's and aren't too difficult(although there's a difficult fight at the end of Umar Hills although it is optional).

and I did pick the good quest for Bodhi. Man I really hate getting attacked in town. I always use magic and the Cowalds come *phsss*

You can buy a liscence to cast magic from the Council building in the Government District. It costs 5000 GP though :( .

Being a good aligned party and doing Bohdi's stuff isn't all that bad. You just try to pick the least...evil quests to do for her, and your Neutral and Good aligned companions shouldn't walk out on you! [img]smile.gif[/img]

right now i got Minsc, Jaheria, Nalia, Aiere, the asain sword guy.

I want Minsc and Jaheria, plus im on the Nalia quest so I still need her. I will probly not stay with her after her quest though.

<font color="lightblue">The best tip I can give you for your party is probably stay with the same party throughout the game.
Don`t just take one party for one quest, dump one person, and get an entire other party every few quests. If you do that, you will end up with a party that will be too low a level to survive any of the later quests, even the last one in Chapter 3... </font>

If you sided with Bohdi, then your last quest for her will be to kill the shadow thieves. You het some nice items though, including a set of elven chain (can be worn by fighter/mages and still cast spells). BTW, you MAY want to try Jan, he's a multi-class mage/thief and he is so FUNNY!

omg I the umber hulks in de'arnise keep celler killed me... ARGG! Im gonna hack my character so good, just to kill them, then I will make him like he was before

<font color="skyblue">A tip for fighting the Umber Hulks.

When you first go downstairs, Post most of your party at the back of the room and another right beside the door. Have that character open the door and let one of the others shoot a missile weapon at the nearest Umber Hulk - but DO NOT advance - it will come to you. As soon as it comes through the door, have the character there shut the door behind it.

Now you only have one (or two at the most) Umber Hulks to deal with at a time.

Also, make sure you get the "dog food" from the kitchen. If you have a character that can go Invisible, then send them down the first long hallway on the right past the room with the Umber Hulks in it. Towards the end, you will find an opening on the right with a lot of bones in it. Place the dog food there.

Supposedly, the Umber Hulks will come running down the hallway because they eat the dog food. You simply follow the hallway on around and come out the other side (the hallway is U-shaped). Shut that door behind you....and go back in front of the door leading to the dog food.

If you have Cloudkill, you can cast it down the hallway, back up, shut the door, and watch the "feedback" at the bottom as the Umber Hulks die en-masse.

Just to let you know, this DID NOT work for me. Don't know what I did wrong, but I finally just had to kill them the old-fashioned way.

Party suggestions.

Keldorn is a paladin and is located in the Temple District, but you will face a TOUGH fight before you actually meet him.

Mazzy is a halfling fighter that you can track down if you go to Trademeet (I would personally recommend you go there next.....LOTS of experience and the fights are not overwhelming.)

You can also pick up Cernd - a shapeshifter druid - from a Trademeet quest, but you will face another tough fight before you get him.

Valygar is a ranger who is good with dual katanas. He is located in Umar Hills and there are no seriously tough fights up there. He is also a Stalker,which means he can "sneak ahead" of he party and Backstab enemies.

Just a few suggestions. </font>

Arrggh...im stuck in chapter 3 because of jaheira & her stoopid harper quests ive already completed most of the quest to the point where ive killed dermin & his thugs but jaheira still starts whining when i try to leave her (for viconia) iive checked the walkthrough & it says theres this guy terminsel who'll show up to give jaheira a harper pin(after a month) thing is Ive done all the quests in chapter 2 & 3 and have nothing to do for a month! :( so what should i do?

Ive finally rested to the point where Mr.Elminster shows up & gives jaheira the harper pin, BUT she still starts whining with the "What? You cannot mean to abandon me, i stood by you..." blah blah, is she supposed to say that after the she gets the Harper-pin? well ive come up with a temporary solution i just ask her to stand behind a closed door & then get viconia into the party(at the copper coronet) & she cant even walk up to me since she cannot open the door shes behind so if i need her services ill let her out of her 'cage' (heh heh i cant believe how smart i am [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

I think I might stop by Umar Hills first. What quests do I do there? I know I'm investigating that stuff but Im sure I'll get more stuff to do.

It's a pretty good place, though I prefer Trademeet early on.
