This game has overtaken my whole freaking dormhall floor and now it has you in its grasp...
That and once you've played WCIII Tower Defenses I feel no internet browser can do them justice.

Definitely upgrade to double-darts. My first time, I died on level 40. Two towers, double darts, by the end of round 3. The range thing... it helps sometimes, but not others.

It gets trickier along the way... I'm itchin' to go another round, now...

This guy on our floor named Kun beat all 50 levels. He played that game for a solid two weeks or so I reckon. Now he is into playing the board game Settlers of Katan. But I see at least one person a day playing balloon tower defense on this floor.

My personal best is 36. I like the popping sounds of the balloons, it is soothing in a strange way.

I just lost at level 40... And I had grown slightly bored at that point, and had planned to sell half of my towers to get the last one just to see what it did. Quel dommage.

Just made a score of 632.814... 38 lives and 16,653 in money. But since it was an afterthought of a game, after losing a couple of lives early on, I'm going to replay it properly and post a picture. Ladies and gentlemen, I believe I have discovered Bloon devastation....

Not bad on a first try... I *know* mine was zero, 'cause I died at L40 ;)

Just finished... 17,289 in money, and 39 lives left (one escaped... :madhell:

*edit* Forgot the score... 674,271.

I call it Revenge of the Tack Tower! No supermonkeys... they're nice, but they're expensive. For the cost of one of those, I can get eight tack towers with high speed attacks... :evilgrin:

Do not underestimate the power of multiple tack towers stacked next to each other. They lay down a devastating barrage of tacks, staggered to nail the most stubborn bloons... :hehe:

Get five or six down in that narrow channel on the bottom, and away you go!

ok, score of 892,160.. lets see if i can figure out how to attach a screenie....

d'oh, sorry, cant figure it out. Have saved the pic though. Anyway, it is 40 lives and 22304 money

I used a modification of Bung's Tack tower clusters - about 5 up the top (first corner), and 5 down the bottom, plus three on the right. Sprinkle in a few monkeys, and viola.

Also, i did a big sell off at the end - sold about 7 towers for an extra 3500 odd.

Well.. 705000... and that's me done. 19 maxed tack towers, 2 max pleb monkeys and bob's your uncle. 40 lives and $17625.

Was just too easy in the end - no balloons got further than the bottom right hand corner :D

My pleasure, Dave... and in case you found that too easy, they *have* come up with a second edition... Bloons Tower Defense 2

Three difficulty levels, new features (spike strips, glue, and boomerangs), and two new bloon types... the fact that you start with 100 lives in this one should tell you something ;)

Bloons, first time playing. I lost several lives early on, and didn't buy anything for last ten. I could afford super monkey at 35 or so and bougth it to see how it performs. Not sure that it's worth it.

Upgraded everything.

Bomb towers are bad. Ice towers are also bad. I guess they require a careful setup to work properly, but I couldn't be bothered. Pink towers are great in sufficient quantity, and on strategic locations. Which is the point of the game, I know.

I guess I could do much better on the second run, but the game is tedious. There should be a speed slider. :)

BLOONS 2? Holy bejeezus. And here I was thinking I was in the clear... Oh.. Bung.. It's so late already... I suppose one try won't hurt....

Yep... I can vouch that Bloons 2 is more than three times as dangerous to productivity as the first one was.

And the bomb towers are no longer useless.... :hehe:

I have got to level 50 twice, once with 38 lives, once with 34. and that is on easy!!!

Score was only 300,000 or so!
