Silly songs, what happened to them? every year there used to be a smash hit silly song like 'star trekkin' or many by "Weird Al" Yankovic.

First off most of the 'silly songs' I know about are not community nor cube friendly. Of course Disney had several silly songs in his 'toons, and there were some in popular radio Years ago.

Celine Dion's cover of AC/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long. I've never had the willpower to listen to the whole thing -- I keep getting this urge to stab icepicks in my ears. Try it yourself...

I don't know if these count... My two favorite silly songs are Seven Drunken Nights and Roll Your Leg Over- I especially enjoy the latter because it encourages creativity.

And the next time I here "Hey There Delilah" I will track down the person responsible, unhinge my jaw, and swallow them whole, like a snake would. Snakes get stuff done.

Asshole is an all time classic. I also like Couch Potato by Weird Al.

And I dont mind Hey There Delilah either - although i very rarely listen to the radio, so i have only heard it about 5 times.

As for worst, a bit lame i guess but there is a TV ad on at the moment with this kid singing about paper towels. The ad plays every ad break during the 6 o'clock news, and in the morning when i am getting ready for work. Normally I am not the child hating type, but that kid better pray I am never there at a live performance!

I love the Seven Drunken Nights (Hey, Wife!) :D And Asshole, too... I read that Dennis Leary was called into school because his son was singing a bad song. When the teacher asked if he knew it, he laughed and said he wrote it :)

For me... Rubber Biscuit by the Blues Brothers is good... meaningless and catchy.

I have just had the misfortune to be reminded of a song that I detest so much that murder would be a viable option.

The guy went on to be the voice of bob the builder but i will never forgive him :(
