Will Aerie still romance my character if his alignment is true neutral? I've heard that some chances for romance are alignment-based, and I was wondering, since Aerie is LG. Also, does race affect the Aerie romance at all?

Short races (dwarves, gnomes, halflings) cannot romance at all. You can download a patch to fix that.

IIRC, all non-evil can romance Aerie. Except the races Vedran just mentioned. ;)

Cool. That's all I needed to know. Thanks

i've also heard that Half-Ogres cant romance anybody.

I believe gnomes can romance Aerie. Actually anyone can romance anyone, just use Shadowkeeper to create a global called AerieMatch and set it to 1.

My wife's playing a female character, and no romance BS is popping up at all. Me, on the other hand, I'm having to listen to two... I got Jaheira and Aerie about ready to duke it out over me. Thankfully, Nalia's behaving herself, Yoshimo is trying desperately to stay in the closet, and Minsc is too enraptured with Boo. Where does it end?

Billy Yank 09-26-2002 07:18 PM

The only romance for female characters is Anomen. Unless you download the Kelsey or Solafein mods.

Jerr Conner 09-26-2002 09:41 PM

actually, I never downloaded the All Romance patch, and Aerie had NO problem with me being a halfling and falling for me.

Lol, I thought that Valygar was in the closet, Gaydar went off when I saw him.

Again and again: How do you use ShadowKeeper to alter game variables?

1. Start up ShadowKeeper and open your current game.
2. Click the little right-pointing arrow in the upper right of the window until the tab "Global Variables" shows up. Click on it.
3. Look throught the list of variables to find the ones you want. In my last game, I wanted my dwarf to romance Aerie, so I looked for AERIEROMANCEACTIVE and AERIEMATCH.
4. If you need to edit the value of a variable, highlight it and click the edit button. I set AERIEROMANCEACTIVE to 1. (It got set to 3 when I slept with the Drow chick, even though I wasn't romancing Aerie.)
5. If you need to add a variable, click the add button. I added AERIEMATCH and set it to 1.
6. Save your game.

The next time I started up, I loaded up the altered game and got me some doe-eyed elven love.
