Trading spouses clip that I found

Omfg Lady Z, I never got to actually see a full episode yet but after you mentioned the madness on these shows I went looking. I would pay to see this one from start to finish.

Found it on Youtube and have watched it multiple times in abject horror/fascination/fun/disgust and simple wonderment. Please say you saw it. It looks like her poor family are as terrified of her as I am.

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Oh yes that's the God Warrior!!!!! She hates gargiles and slykicks!! :hehe: I definitely saw that one, they even re-ran it a few times because it was so popular LOL. Lady is NUTS and I feel so sorry for her kids. Am hoping at least the eldest daughter can get out of the house soon! Her kids will probably grow up hating Christianity because this woman has turned it into some sort of fanatic freakshow.

I still would like you to see the Raw Meat diet one. Not sure if it was a Trading Spouses, or a Wife Swap. Both shows are pretty much the same thing, just different rules regarding money. The father in that one is almost just as bad. I'll never forget seeing him crumple into the fetal position in the bathroom and cry like a 3 year old who just witnessed his mother's murder, all because his daughter has a bit of the ol diarrhea. :hehe:

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Oh ho! I found it!

Just FYI, this family's "raw" diet also, and mostly, consists of raw meat. Dad keeps raw beef cubes in this clear plastic cup with a lid. I don't think he refrigerates it. He says sometimes it has a "wang to it."

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Talk about a drama-queen lol. I love when the kid says "it tasted really good", like he's the family rebel. Man these shows are nuts. Any new seasons of them coming up? I always miss them :(

But man, I can't stop watching the god warrior one. The irony is she looks like satan himself. All I know is if she came into my home she'd have a fit. There's so many memorable quotes in there too, like "I don't wanna see moons or stars or nothing, just my god". Let's hope she never looks up when outdoors. Then freaking out about Astrology and Tarot cards like the people were worshipping the devil. Absolute nut, love it :D.

Dragonshadow 08-22-2007 05:51 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Drama-queens have nothing on that woman. Should people like her be allowed to appear on national TV? I started watching that and after a few minutes found I was starting to tune out heh.

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Well I have a lot of dragon statues that I painted so that right there would send God Warrior over the roof. I'd be considered one of the "dark ones!" And I agree, she herself looks and acts like a monster would! As for the raw meat kid, I always felt sorry for him cause I bet his parents are the ones who make him stick to the diet. I bet it was the first meal in a year that didn't taste like ass.

Dragonshadow, I think networks for this type of show look high and low for a person like her LOL. :hehe:

I don't know when a new season will come on. They are showing re-runs though on ABC at 8:00pm (EST).

SpiritWarrior 08-22-2007 09:50 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Yeah, and we all know D&D is satans work too so most of us are "dark-sided". That and the fact that I am somehwat new-age myself, having tarot cards and alternate medicine stuff etc. including statues of fantasy stuff in my home. She'd probably "pray for me jesus' name", lol.

Really it's on ABC? Weekdays or what? Can't believe I never saw it.

Ladyzekke 08-22-2007 10:51 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Yeah it's re-running on ABC on Monday nights, again 8:00pm EST. I think the next Wife Swap re-run this coming Monday is the pirate family one. Hard to tell if they are true loons or just looking for TV time. Arrr they be weird though!

SpiritWarrior 08-23-2007 01:48 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

I'll look out for that then. I kinda purposely missed that "Pirate Master" show/fiasco btw, I wasn't sure whether it would make me double over in pain or laughter so sat it out. I heard it was a riot though. Damn, I been seeing alot of that parental control rubbish on MTV. It's so scripted that I lose IQ just watching it, because the kids cannot act for shit. I love when they try to add a scripted "twist" like both people get dumped. It's so badly done that I start weeping, lol. Sometimes you even see the kids laughing when they were told to act all gutted. Fun to watch when you want a laugh, but sooner or later you have to turn it off because of the sheer stupidity. The one thing I always consider when watching MTV shows is that somewhere, there are teens watching it who think it's all "real".

Ladyzekke 08-23-2007 02:19 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Oh I stopped watching Pirate Master (Johnny Depp Master more like) after 3 or 4 episodes. It did have a lot to laugh at, but I found it boring. So you didn't miss out on anything. In fact, the show sucked so bad they first changed the timeslot to 10:00pm, then dumped it altogether and let the last 4 or 5 episodes run on the CBS.com! Now that's lame! :hehe:

Oh I was surfing channels last week after I came home from work and watched a Parental Control that really looked fake as hell. It had a pretty decent looking girl who had a boyfriend who supposedly really thought himself a Paladin, with healing powers. He carried around a plastic sword and wore a viking helmet. The parents picked two decent looking douches for her, but in the end she stuck with her Palandin (Level 12!). I wish they'd re-run some of those old Boiling Points if they are going to re-run stuff on MTV. I don't know if you ever saw that show, guess it's been about 2 years now. They had various clever actors and actresses go around to try to purposely piss people off. If a person didn't get mad after a certain amount of time, they won $100. Most people though didn't get that far LOL. I'll never forget the Umbrella Stand skit, where faulty umbrellas were sold (holes in them or they wouldn't open). This one Asian man got sooo pissed I thought he was going to have an anurysm! Give It Toooo Meeee! :hehe:

Yes I loved Boiling Points, wondered where it went to. Girls Behaving Badly is also hilarious, ever seen that one? The actors in it are sooo good at keeping up the ruse. I love hidden camera shows once they have clever skits and actors in it. Jackass went too far and just served to gross me out, plus the skits began to get more and more stupid. There's another good one with that black comic guy "hosting" it that is funny as hell. It's on BET network (although the one issue I have with is you never get to see the immediate reaction when they find out it's all a joke).

I think the key in these hidden camera shows is to have the most disciplined actors who can keep a straight face through it all. I liked Punk'd until Ashton Kutcher got all nuts, now I can't bear to watch him cause honestly, he never knows when to stfu and just let me watch the prank. Did you ever see a show called Trigger Happy Tv? My god it is one of the funniest shows on tv, my favourite out of all these. I have series 1 and 2 on DVD and I laugh hysterically each time I watch them.

For your viewing pleasure

Eef.. I'm a churchgoing Christian, but that woman is just a wee bit on the EXTREMELY OVERZEALOUS AND crazy side.. sorry... I too, avoid tarot and psychics and all that stuff for religious reasons but I'm able to avoid screaming at my family about it for hours.. or going off the deep end... geez, almost makes ya want raw meat... *snicker* She almost sounds like she's having an emotional breakdown or mental fit... eef!

Don't eat the raw meat!!!! It unbalances your entire system and you turn into a crying baby in a dirty bathroom!

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Spiritwarrior - Looked at your clips, the Girls Behaving Badly was funny, I especially liked the sound effects LOL.

Jackass I totally agree with you. It was intriguing at first, but then they started to just do gross stuff that wasn't funny at all. For instance, hard boiled egg eating contest with lots of puking. Not a fan of puking in any way for any show.

Gawd I so agree too re Ashton Kutcher! I loved the first season of Punk'd, but something happened in time. I recall one particularly annoying "Choo Chooo!" thing he did in one episode that really amped up my hate for him LOL. He got so irritating, with his hats and his scruffy face and loud mouth. I'd have continued to watch the show if they used someone else to host it, ANYONE else.

And No I haven't ever seen a Trigger Happy TV. What channel did it air on? Have to look for it next time I'm at Bestbuy. :)

Oh god I remember that Punk'd. I think that was actually one of my breaking points. He was saying something like "Here comes the train for you XYZ celebrity!" and he marched up and down the screen, pulling an imaginary rope and saying "choo choo!" for a good 10 minutes. Time that we will never get back. It was then I knew Ashton had finally cracked.

Trigger Happy used to be on Comedy Central. It was a UK based show but probably one of the first (and most original IMHO) hidden camera shows. The guy is so hilarious to me. I am pretty sure you won't regret picking up a DVD of it, you may even find it for rental somewhere. The dude that does all the skits is a pro at playing the parts and usually it's him doing everything.

Found one on youtube (how good is this video embedding feature btw!?). This is where he calls for a chimney-sweep.

yeah it was like "Choo Choo Just Die Already OK?" But he never died :(

:hehe:

Oh I DID see that show! Had forgotten it's title "Trigger Happy". Long time no see! Have to say people in the UK are much more polite when confronted with a weirdo LOL. Oh I miss that show, forgot all about it!

*I'm trying to Relax!"

Spiritwarrior - Did you ever see Joe Schmo, the first season?

Ya think? That woman is SERIOUSLY deranged and in serious need of electroshock AND heavy medication. Scariest person I've seen in a LONG time ....

I think I saw it. Or was it the one where one of them was really a millionare? I think it was that more recent one that was kinda like "The Truman show" movie? That idea I liked. There's so many on now that I can't keep track.

Ladyzekke 08-24-2007 11:22 AM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

No, Joe Schmo was a very clever show that aired on Spike TV a few years ago. It was made to appear to be a Big Brother type reality show where all the contestants lived in the same house, had to participate in wacky contests, and one got eliminated each week. It also had a host. What made it clever though was that EVERYONE was an actor or actress except for ONE guy, aka the "Joe Schmo." This poor one guy was the nicest guy, and boy did they mess with him over and over again. He truly never caught on that he was being set up and surrounded by actors. The producers would also go by his reactions to calculate what everyone was to do next. It was the most hilarious show I've ever seen. I bought the DVD because it truly is a classic. They made a Joe Schmo 2 as well, but it wasn't as good. So if you ever want to check it out, make sure to get the first one. :D

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Yeah I remember that one. It was like the Truman Show movie (one of my favourite movies too), where everyone knew except him. I never got to see the end IIRC - would have liked to. I think I saw the later episodes via clips from The Soup on E! lol.

Have you seen Chelsey handlers "new" (reformatted) show on E! btw? It's actually not bad - she's real funny. Pleasantly surprised. One thing I am liking about E! is that they actually seem to realize that they air some of the most ridiculous reality shows on tv - the one's other networks wont air (I mean, they got Paris and Nicole...). But, about E! is they don't seem to be afraid to make fun of themselves via shows like The Soup (50% of the shows Joel rips into are on his own network lol) and now this new Chelsea Handler show where she will take potshots at E! and their shows. What keeps a channel funny is humility. Self-degradation is a nice way to get there.

Ladyzekke 08-24-2007 11:47 AM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

No I haven't paid much attention to that one. Will check it out next time I see it in the guide. :) Oh and I agree about E! Heck they didn't just have Paris and Nicole's show, they did Anna Nichole Smiths! Now THAT was truly painful to watch! Gawd she was so disgusting in so many ways! And I hated her ugly ratty farting dog. Then you had her creepy lawyer Stern, and her hideous lesbo sidekick Kimmy, her bakebean toothed cousin, and last but not least, Bobby Trendy. Have you seen that thing before? :hehe:

SpiritWarrior 08-24-2007 12:51 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

LOL, no I never dared. Oh, I was well aware of it's existence via the ripping on various shows but I couldn't risk the damage to my eyes so avoided it like a plague. Kinda like the Pirate Master thing.

Although a sick part of me is really wanting to see the pilot episode of Pirate Master, to see how they actually convince the contestants that being the "Pirate Master" is a positive thing and market to people by letting them know that "everyone wants to be the next Pirate Master" LOL. Wtf was the actual prize in the end? It better have been a chest of gold or something. Or was it a hat and parrot to appease the appetite of the insane people that signed up for the show? The whole concept made me groan in pain.

Well you are in luck LOL! Watch all you want!

Looks like the show isn't actually finished yet, one more to go next Tuesday. I have no idea either what exactly the winner gets. I say $50,000.00 in quarters. :hehe:

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

My god, I watched the first episode. I wonder how the people who are set adrift got home. Maybe they got lost forever. Those studios are hard to navigate on a small raft :D

It was so corny and cheesy and practically stuffed with pointless Pirates of the Carribean stuff that served no purpose at all. Yet, the people are so into it that it's mildly intersting just to see their pirate dreams get crushed. All in all, a good laugh. Thanks for the link!

Ladyzekke 08-26-2007 02:14 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Notice how almost everyone wore eyeliner LOL? Oh, and the blond guy with the dreads, later on at around episode 4 or 5, starts talking with a British accent. He's totally trying to talk like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Carribean! So delusional! He probably is thinking he's becoming this big star now LOL.

Oh and I did like the setting people adrift in their sad little rafts LOL. I was thinking they were going to make them walk the plank. Which would have been funny too. Imagine all the eyeliner running down their faces as they bobbed up and down in the ocean, watching the ship sail further and further away. :hehe:

SpiritWarrior 08-26-2007 03:42 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Yes I wanted them to walk the plank too. I was hoping for sharks or something. Ah well. I love how the guy who was axed didn't say a word as he was set adrift. They we're all obviously coached about what happens when you leave. But you could feel him seething. He acted like Jack Sparrow at first, talking real low and doing all the hand movements. Then he looked like the stripper they said he was (let's not even discuss the /scientist part - there are no words).

Forgive me, I am a bit slow this week it seems, but I didn't notice you were promoted to moderator all this time. I guess I wasn't paying much attention to the avatars. Anyways, congrats. Least we have someone who is actually watching all these crazy shows along with us modding the forum :D I was scared we'd get that Memnoch guy who thinks reality tv is "rubbish", lol. Which quite an amount of it is, but what hilarious rubbish it can be. Maybe we should make him watch Pirate Master...

Ladyzekke 08-26-2007 06:56 PM

Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Thing is, I think they got rid of the stripper guy too fast. He made good TV because of his complete weirdness. And I can only imagine how he'd end up getting along with the blond dreaded Depp. They'd probably try to out-Depp eachother which would have been hilarious! No doubt the first few shows were entertaining, but if you continue to watch them you'll see it gets boring, and confusing as well. What exactly ARE the rules?

Oh and thanks. Yes we need to have somebody who has love for reality TV modding, and that's certainly me! :D You'd have done a good job as well. :) Oh and did you know, that cursing is allowed in this forum? :D Can't wait for I Love NY 2!

I thought casual cussing was okay in all the forums lol (shows what I know and tells you what I been doin :-/). As in real life, I casually cuss quite a bit. Like many people, I do it mainly for expression of something. It's hard to describe certain fiasco shows without using certain adjectives. Dumming it down just doesn't have the same ring to it :D. I think the only time it really got problematical in IW was when people weren't mature about how they come across. You can use all kinds of language in a conversation as a means of expression and still not even border on insulting anyone.

Well the good thing is, as moderator, if anyone becomes annoying you could have your own hip policy. Like send them a PM with a "black mark" in it. Maybe even "cut them adrift" if they really piss you off so they can float around a studio/pretend ocean for awhile. The possibilites are endless! God, it would have been alot more interesting if they actually did set them adrift in the ocean, and ignored their calls for help. That's how I would have done it. If you get kicked off Pirate Master you must find your own way across the sea :D
