I know some of you are too young to remember those, but I have recently come into a stack of them. I'll post pics/particulars up on my site a little later, but I have no interest in trying to find a way to play them. Any body know anyone interested in this kind of thing?

I think there are shops out there that cater to people looking for vintage 'just about anything' so I bet there's one that takes records!

...wow, I'm young...reading the title made me think "Wow, someone went really fast in a bunch of different ways!"

Dude, you may have an Ebay treasure. Do a search by category and title and see what the stuff goes for.

Even common stuff may have value. I work at a store which sells vinyl. It sells okay, you'd be suprise how many people love the vinyl "sound" as well as those who just collect it. I collect it more for the album art myself.

Who are some of the artists?

Frankie Carle, Sam Freed covering Strauss, Roy Acuff, Artie Shaw playing Cole Porter? A lot of this stuff is older than me. There's more, but I'll shoot some pictures of it a little later. Pretty sick today to mess with it.

s'okay Robert, us old fogies knew what you meant!

They're not all whippersnappers, Robert. While I've never had one, I do recall having a record player that could play that fast. Take an LP, play it at 78... hel-lo, chipmunks!

I would definitely search for ebay or other vinyl collectors. I'll probably do that with the four feet of 33s I've got in the basement... rock, jazz, comedy, folk, and more.

Dude, you are making me stroll down memory lane. I had an old Sears special, 3 speed,(33,45,78) single speaker, one armed phonograph from about my 10th B-day through high school. Then, the 8 Track was just becoming the more popular music media of the day! I bet very few of this crowd has ever heard Angus Young on vinyl!

Yeah, I'll bet you're right. My nephew's daughter was going through a box of stuff of his during a move, and found his Kiss Double live albums, and didn't have a clue what they were. My 1/2 sister asked me what kind of CD that was...
