Assuming you can only pick from the spells provided in poll. Initially wanted to make it 1 only, but then thought too many people will pick invisibility (or is it only me like that? ), so I decided to allow you to pick 2.

Those are mainly general spells. Though I picked them from AD&D, please forget about their numerical stats (duration, range etc...). Just assume you can use them indefinately, as much and whenever you want, though using them a lot will make you "tired", much like any other mental activity (studying for an exam... etc).

Nice range ZFR. I went with invisibilty and heal. Knock would've been up there, but when you think about it, invisibility and patience will see you into/through just about any locked item you set your mind to. ;)

Oh, no time stop?

Stratos 10-30-2005 10:51 AM

From the list in the poll I would pick Invisibility and Heal.

If I could pick any two spells I would pick Wish and some spell that raised my Wisdom score.

Vengeful Gaze of God would be fun too.

Quote:

Vengeful Gaze Of God
Transmutation
Spellcraft DC: 419
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 12,000 ft.
Target: One creature, or up to a 10-foot cube of nonliving matter in line of sight
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude half
Spell Resistance: Yes
To Develop: 3,771,000 gp; 76 days; 150,840 XP. Seed: destroy (DC 29). Factor: increase damage to 305d6 (+570 DC), 1-action casting time (+20 DC). Mitigating factor: 200d6 backlash (-200 DC).

The target of this spell is subject to 305d6 points of damage (or half of that if a Fortitude save succeeds). If the target is reduced to -10 hit points or less (or a construct, object, or undead is reduced to 0 hit points), it is utterly destroyed as if disintegrated, leaving behind only a trace of fine dust. The caster is likewise dealt 200d6 points of damage
Too bad about the backlash damage...

basic fire and find familiar. I'd like to have a familiar (I always used to say I had one when my cat was alive. She followed me around like a small dog)
And fire is always useful

shadowhound 10-30-2005 10:45 PM

Fire and Invisibility, what a destructive combo.

armageddon272 10-30-2005 11:44 PM

Invisibility (would be the perfect power of coupled with noncorporeality) and fire.

I was gonna pick detect alignment, but then visions came into my mind of sourrounding myself with rings of fire that lash out at anything that I dislike.

Bahamut 10-31-2005 01:29 AM

Timestop

I chose Invisibility and Detect Alignment. Telepathy rocks. Though I would actually prefer Charm to those spells - think of the possibilities of being able to manipulate others with ease.

Illumina Drathiran'ar 10-31-2005 04:25 PM

Fire and Heal. She who can cureth can maketh ill... And what's the good of being a wandering healer if you can't protect yourself or put on a fabulous pyrotechnics display to make some extra silver?

Sir Goulum 10-31-2005 05:49 PM

Prot. from Fire/Cold and Invisibility. That would suit me just fine.

Illumina Drathiran'ar 10-31-2005 07:26 PM

I just need to hope that people I really wanna torch haven't chosen Protection from Fire...

bubbe 11-01-2005 04:55 AM

Protection from Fire/Cold and Invisibility.

Don't have any reasons why I picked these spells though.

I guess Prot. from Fire/cold could be greate if you house start burning and you must go in and save my LOVELY computer from the fire

Invisibility would be greate if some big guy in school is chasing you and you need to get away very quick. ;) Not sure that would happen. ;)

ZFR 11-01-2005 02:13 PM

Just noticed I haven't said what I have chosen.

Invisibility and Find Familiar.

Sir Goulum 11-01-2005 05:13 PM

I'm curious, why would anyone want a familiar?

Calaethis Dragonsbane 11-01-2005 06:07 PM

Great Teleport or dimension door, perhaps? . I picked "Heal" (for all those nasty little cuts) and "find familiar" - the familiar will have spells too.

shamrock_uk 11-01-2005 07:02 PM

Well, familiars are pretty cool. I, for one, would rather like the ability to summon a great panther from thin air as per NWN... Sure would be handy in a saturday night brawl!

But I picked invisibility and fire spells.

Sillara of the Tamari 11-02-2005 05:59 AM

I chose the fire spells and the protection from fire. I always thought it would be good to be immune to my own powers. But what I really wanted was Fly. :(

Sillara

Illumina Drathiran'ar 11-02-2005 06:00 PM

Meh, I've had familiars. I don't need a spell for that. Though it would be cool to be able to talk to them.

burnzey boi 11-04-2005 06:06 AM

Heal is the best option. at least with heal, you can survive the hot and cold more easily and if you have a relitive who was about to die you could just make them feel better and get back in the fight!

Brayf 11-05-2005 02:47 PM

Invisibility and Find Familiar. Protection from Cold would be cool, too - I'd go exploring in the Arctic. :D

TheCrimsomBlade 11-12-2005 04:03 PM

I chose Invisibility and knock.
If no one could see me I would become the worlds
best cat Burgler. What's a thief without Knock to
be able to open every lock?
Now where did you say the Sheik of Arabia kept
his Diamonds & Rubies?

Eagle eye 11-15-2005 09:08 PM

Definitely Invisibility!

Darkman 11-16-2005 09:58 PM

Invisibility and Knock. Bank robbery here I come!

Heck, you'd just need fireball and knock and you'd be set.

Iron Greasel 12-11-2005 02:02 PM

Fire and prot. from fire/cold.

Invisibility? Invisibility won't help you when I burn down EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING!!! YOUR CITIES WILL BURN WITH MY VENGEFUL FIRE!!!

Actually, I'd like to have Polymorph, but it wasn't on the list. And perhaps some teleport spell.

Bozos of Bones 12-19-2005 10:13 AM

What, no Mass Dominate? No Wail of the Banshee? No Timestop? No Flight spell? Aww...
I chose heal and fire... the logical step.

Madman 12-19-2005 12:18 PM

definately find familiar for me, i would love to have a wee mephit flyin around with me or an animal companion to go down the shops to pick me up some smokes, go to the bar for me etc...

although i am thinkin how cool would haste be?

Sir Degrader 12-19-2005 10:07 PM

Sweet, until you run into a damn pole. Find familiar would be best, though I wouldn't do it (witchcraft=teh bad).

Loudhy 12-20-2005 01:41 AM

Invisibility and Knock.

Like Darkman said : It's time for a new profession ... :D .
