Some time ago i created a thief and i got far with him ( i like to think so chapter 3 ) but the anoying part was those stupid vampires that came and attacked me at night can anyone help me with weapons or magic to defeat them ?

try the daystar, also you could use a scroll of protection from undead, cast protection from magical weapons, if you have ToB, once you have the use any item HLA, wear the amulet of power, use a heap of invisibility potions, backstab then use another, rinse, repeat ect...

there are heaps of ways to kill vamps

That would be a good way but i didnt have daystar or enough invis potion where would i find a good weapon and a potion shop?

Rest and then go outside in the daytime.

I had tried that for a long time but it gets to hard when traveling because if i traveled to the bridge from wuekeens i would get attack because it would be night is there any other way ?

no it wasnt he had short sword + 2 and haste potions but the worst thing was that minsc had full plate mail with the 2 handed sword from serevok and got killed in 3 hits :(

If u want to kill vampires with a party, have MInsc(or other Paladins, Rangers) wearing the Amulet of Power, and have other party members using Prot from Undead scroll while hacking those vampires into pieces...

I heard somewhere that its possible for normal classed mages to wear elven chain mail and keep their spell casting is that true? if so where can i get elven chain mail?

Just go to a temple and buy Prot from Undead and use it on all ur party members.
If u dont have enough money, then just wait until day time and walk around. U can also try turning undead with ur Paladins and Clerics...

It's easy, go everywhere in the shadows. Backstab EVERYTHING! Steal everything that isn't glued and/or nailed down. Buy lots of invisibility potions (as many as you can). If you run into something that can see you through your invisibility, use a bow, run, shoot, run, shoot, rinse, repeat.

You will never want for money, what you cant steal, you can buy because you have stolen everything else [img]smile.gif[/img]

Solo Thieves have one of the cheesiest weapon in the entire game... traps.

If u have the sola mod installed, and want free XP easily, just set up lots of traps(20 or more) and hang around the place at night time. U will meet a party of enemies that is always hostile to u, just lure them to where the traps r and... free XP!!!
