Yes, you've guessed it ;) . But have you ever tried it, or even heard of it?

Stormymystic 06-28-2004 02:55 PM

yes heard of it, and no never tried it, I do not get out much :/

philip 06-28-2004 03:23 PM

Never heard of it and never drank it? What kind of drink is it, alcoholic or not etc.?

Melusine 06-28-2004 04:06 PM

I wanted to try it several times (while I was there) but somehow I kept forgetting. So I know what it looks like but I've never tasted it.

Edit: What *does* it taste like? :D

its taste for me is undescribable. Its just so good, but so unique, also, dont be tempted to try any of the cheap rips of Irn Bru, such as Iron Bru, Irn Brue etc. They suck and do no justice for the real thing.

It is not alcoholic, its a fizzy drink, and guess what. I have a 24 pack in the cupboard, along with 4, 2 litre bottles, I have to keep my strength up! :D

Aelia Jusa 06-28-2004 06:10 PM

I'm going to Scotland in a couple of weeks! I'll be sure to look out for it ;)

RoSs_bg2_rox 06-29-2004 04:17 AM

yes do that, youl love it. It seems I am the only one who has tasted it!

dplax 06-29-2004 03:51 PM

I've heard about it from a scottish guy in our year at uni, but never tried it.

Xen 06-29-2004 04:10 PM

1) Whh...Whhat is this legend you speak of?
2) I have yet to join the gang.

dplax 06-30-2004 05:49 AM

Is it true BTW that it has more caffeine in it than Cola?

RoSs_bg2_rox 06-30-2004 12:01 PM

I dont know, all I know is that I have been drinking it for too many years and can't live without it. Had 3 cans of the stuff yesterday! Does it even have caffeine?

Lauren 06-30-2004 11:07 PM

I have never heard of that drink before, but it sounds interesting, is it very popular in Scottland?

RoSs_bg2_rox 07-01-2004 12:45 PM

yeh it is! Most people I know love it.

Btw, where is Wellard in all of this.

Oi! get your ass down here and stick up for the cause :D

RoSs_bg2_rox 07-01-2004 12:49 PM

Oh and, so far, I am the only one who has tasted it, what is the world coming too!

Jorath Calar 07-02-2004 08:37 PM

I've heard of it, but never tried it... so no headsmashing here...

RoSs_bg2_rox 07-04-2004 01:31 PM

haha! *groans* :D

Guess what I had today, Irn Bru Icecream! Weird I know, but it tasted good.

Elhardo 07-06-2004 08:03 PM

you can buy it well easily in england,,,its nice but a bit sweet

Vaskez 07-07-2004 07:25 PM

Fear not, I have also tried it. Though twas many years ago. My memory of it is that it's great when you first taste it but the more you drink, the more artificial and sugary it tastes until you can't handle any more and start slurping out of the water tap.

new to BG II 07-24-2004 02:41 PM

havent tried it...or ever heard of it. i would love to for that matter....

For those of us who cant taste this magical drink, what flavour does it have?

RoSs_bg2_rox 07-24-2004 05:50 PM

I cant describe it, I love it soo much, but it has such a unique taste that you just have to try it out for yourself. Unless anyone can describe it?

Hang on, Il go and drink some more just to see if I can squeeze some sort of idea of what it tastes like out of my brain :D

Aelia Jusa 07-24-2004 07:27 PM

Okay, back from Scotland. And I had a can. For everyone wanting to know what it tastes like and aren't getting any satisfaction from Ross, it tastes exactly like creaming soda. It was funny actually, I had been telling my brother a couple of days before we went to scotland that my favourite soft drink ever was red creaming soda, but I hadn't had it since I was a little kid. And I get a can of Irn Bru, not knowing what to expect, and to my surprise and delight, that's basically what it was! So there you go.

Unfortunately though, I didn't try haggis ;)

RoSs_bg2_rox 07-25-2004 07:15 AM

Och, you missed out there! But congratulations, you tried it! I know it can be a life changing experience. ;) So does that mean you really liked it since it tastes like your favourite soft drink ever?

new to BG II 07-26-2004 04:29 PM

so Aelia, it tastes like ice cream soda?
well then i bet id like it,coz i adore ice cream soda....

Aelia Jusa 07-26-2004 06:30 PM

Ice cream soda? No, creaming soda... unless they're the same thing. I've never had an ice cream soda.

Yeah, I did like it, Ross. Although I have to say I was a little disappointed, since I was expecting some wow, whizz-bang totally unique taste and it was just creaming soda... so tasty, but nothing new ;)

new to BG II 07-29-2004 06:25 PM

umm i think you are talking about ice cream soda....but dont let the name fool you, there's no ice cream involved.... .
the stuff ive tasted is pinkish in colour ...

General Nosaj 07-30-2004 09:39 AM

I have no idea how it can taste like creaming soda as Irn Bru is marketed as a mixed fruit flavoured drink. Unless that is what creaming means of course. However it's still the best drink around. The general has been known to down a fair amount of the stuff before heading out on the big push.

RoSs_bg2_rox 07-30-2004 05:48 PM

All Hail The General!

General For Prime Minister :D

Aelia Jusa 07-30-2004 05:57 PM

Well, I dunno, Nosaj. But's that's what it tasted like! Certainly didn't get a hint of fruit flavour in it.
