for this season? well, my choice would be Arsenal's Thierry Henry. He is sooooooooo dangerous when he's at the ball.
|
Ronaldinho is the best in everything according to you. The guy is probably dumb as hell, and can't do anything else than playing soccer. Big deal. Stop glorifying him already

Also Henry is very good. |
IMO Roberto Carlos is a fairly poor free kick taker. Sure, every now and again one flies in the top corner but most miss horribly. I don't agree with Xen when he says they are powerful and precise, they are powerful but not precise. Beckam is the best at free kicks.
I think Denilson is the best dribbler... |
That's not the point. The point is that every time you talk about soccer, somehow Ronaldinho pops his head in your posts, while he is by far not the most impressive soccer player in the world.
I'm kind of surprised you didn't name Ronaldinho as the 'best man to take free kicks' after his 'marvelous' free kick against England on the WC 2002 in Korea/Japan. |

Somehow i have the felling that this discussion is getting a little hot! |
Oh no, it's not getting hot, it's actually room temperature in this topic. And I'm not flaming you either.
It's just that I feel you overexaggerate when it comes to Ronaldinho, that's all. I'm glad that I was mistaken, and I'm even more glad that someone finally agrees on that dumb-lucky goal of his against England. Cheers, Link |

I really like other players too(Ryan Giggs also just rocks)... about the goal:how could had he been so precise? No way... he is not Becks or Del Piero. I bet that from 100 shots about 5 would go in like that... Or maybe the sun was shining back from Ronnie`s teeth and Seaman didn`t saw the ball! LOL! |

Nobody here remember George Best? he was such a god at dribbling that he never had a serious injury, and in them days the tackles were ruthless and plentifull, but they could not get near him. Unlike Maradonna who could dribble with high skill but was always getting fouled. He was also so much better than Pele but because he never played in a world cup his name will not be remembered unless you where privlaged to see him. I remember liam Brady too, shame he played for Arsenal Todays players at the top level have way more time on the ball and space to play in.. Watch the old clips and be awed |
