Mr. Mopery, our paths have never crossed before, but I like the cut of your jib Filling in that poll was a surreal, but strangely rewarding experience
|
My jib and it's cut thank you very much, Mouse. My fo'c'sle and mainstays thank you as well.
|
Just be careful with your yardarm, Sir, for I refuse to close my eyes lest you live up to your nomenclature :D
|
About one of the questions:
my first grade teacher was 25 and way cute... waking up in bed with her wouldn't have been a nightmare! :D |
Mr. Mopery, I remember your polls from the past. I saw your name on the active users list yesterday, and was even going to make a seperate post to beg you to make one of your infamous specialities. Looks like I didn't even need to. Great job, I love it!
|
Heh i was the only one who said i was a former White house intern lol thought that would be the most popular. Good work on the pole very funny.

Great poll!
"A quiet urge touch a monkey." Errr....where did you get this idea from? Not from experience I hope. ;) :D [ 05-06-2003, 04:19 PM: Message edited by: Stratos ] |
Ok.. now I must now.. what is a Zither?! :D
Great poll btw... |

"Like a guitar, a zither is played by plucking its strings with the fingers or a pick. This Arion harp zither was made about 1891 in Washington, Missouri, by the Franz Schwarzer Company." |

I loved your previous polls too, Mr Mopery, outstanding! Nice pic Froglag :D Didn't need it to answer the question correctly, BTW. ;) I was the second one to take it after Mouse and therefore the one who could see all his answers. So women's emotional pain elicits a "Who cares?" from you eh, rodent? |
Wow...I'm really impressed that anybody remembers the old ones. Haven't had any time (or access at home) since the move to Bangkok.
Thanks for all the positivity. And to think that Mom always thought I'd end up in the loony bin... |

What is an Okra?
|
Quote:
"Okra (also known as gumbo), is a tall-growing, warm-season, annual vegetable from the same family as hollyhock, rose of Sharon and hibiscus. The immature pods are used for soups, canning and stews or as a fried or boiled vegetable. The hibiscus like flowers and upright plant (3 to 6 feet or more in height) have ornamental value for backyard gardens." |

[/qb]
...since Mr. Mopery's total number of posts is less than 50, all of his posts are easy to find through the "view recent posts" feature.[/QB]
Thanks for the plug, Grojlach...though, after looking through some of my old posts I felt a bit goofy. Feels a bit like reading a diary entry written 5 years previously. One other thing... For those of you who chose "Making love in an abattoir", you do realize that abattoir means slaughterhouse, right? It sounds a lot nicer in Frenglish nomenclature but it still smells like dying cow... Still, an interesting subject for a poem. Perhaps it should be written. Great poll Mr. Mopery

*wonders who the one thinking "Waking up naked, in bed with your 1st grade teacher." is worse than "Same as above, but your mother walks in." and "Same as above, but your mother walks in and smiles" is*
