For me....it's AC/DC.

It is very rare that I'm NOT in a mood to hear them....and their music always pumps me up.

I drive 20 miles to and from work...and I listen to them almost every afternoon. I made my own "Best of..." tape that I listen to over and over.

Angus and Malcolm Young absolutely ROCK on guitars. I still think Angus is one of the greatest guitarists of ALL time.

Classic stuff AC/DC is right up there... but there's so many older bands I love it's impossible to list em all.

New stuff I've been listening to a lot lately - Linkin Park and Disturbed pop to the top of my head.

Hmm there is alot of bands that listen too alot. I dont know if I could crown one above all others but, I would have to say Megedeth and Metallica are pretty high on my list.

Alot of the older stuff is real cool too. Pink Floyd, Cheap Trick, AC/DC. I really stick the older stuff. I rarely listen to new bands. I like alot of grunge bands too. Pearl Jam would be my favorite out of that pool of music. Alice in Chains are cool too.

Where is a sub-poll for all you Ac/Dc fans: Bon Scott or Brain Johnson? I like them both, Bon Scott for his,well, uniqueness. And Brain Johnson for the energy he has. Its almost frighting how much energy he has.

3 Doors Down and Creed. And Staind. I love these bands..

LOL - now I have to say The Eels, because I saw this thread and actually thought it was a reference to them. One of their best songs is called "P.S. You Rock My World" and their fan website is called "Eels Rock My World" in tribute to it. So now they are in my head I would say that E, Butch, Parrish, and Koool G, definately rock my world!

But other than them probably the usual - Radiohead, Counting Crows, REM, and the like.

Metallica, Pink Floyd and then whatever the hell that stuff is that Seph listens to, Anti-Flag [img]tongue.gif[/img]

My favorite would be Slayer, followed closely by Nightwish, Immortal, Absu, Metallica (except Load and Reload), Black Sabbath, Finntroll, Motörhead, AC/DC, Venom, Morbid Angel, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Mayhem, Ancient Rites, Opera IX, Ophtalamia, Cruachan...
And these are only the bands I count among my absolute favorites. :D

Any musical artist counts. I am a big <font color="plum">Prince</font> fan. I basically love anything from the 80's, but AC/DC just gets me up like no other band can. I've had people laugh at me in traffic because I'm "bouncing to the beat" anytime I listen to them.

How about a modified "sub-poll". Instead of Bon Scott vs Brian Johnson, how about this. Besides the 2 obvious choices (Highway To Hell and Back In Black) What is your favorite album by AC/DC? This will give the same basic results.

My 3rd favorite album was <font color="yellow">Powerage</font> I made a 2nd "Best of...." tape when I got this CD and replaced a lot of the songs on the first tape with songs from it.

A lot of good bands mentioned above,but the one i'm missing here
is Uriah Heep.Songs like Lady in black,July morning,Look at
yourself and Easy livin',just to name a few,really rock MY world.

Fav bands of mine include: Kittie (before fallon left), SOAD, APC, Tool (noone has mentioned Tool yet??? [img]tongue.gif[/img] ), Static-X, Orgy, Chimaera, Placebo, (hed) PE, Spineshank, Slayer, Incubus and Korn. Those are my favs but I listen to a hell of a lot of different music.
