Ok now if you had to choose a song to describe yourself what would it be?
For a lot of you it will probably be Do the funky chicken Sweet transvestite or Ugly But for me it is teenage dirtbag. |
Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar"
Billy Joel's "Innocent Man" |
i must say, that i have never really contemplated this! i guess that my beliefs would best be expressed by 'Die for Your Government' and 'Red White and Brainwashed', both by Anti-flag. they're pretty much just rants about the government... although to completely describe me im sure i would have to get some really old song from like the 1700s or something...
|
Hmm, good poll...
Never really thought about it, I have thought about songs that describe my feelings but not my personality... Maybe Haverester of Sorrow by Mettallica. Or Dont Tread on Me also by Metallica. |

Back in Black by AC/DC Be Like That by 3 Doors Down Pushing Me Away by Linkin Park.. Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve Falling by Offspring I've got too many shades for songs to describe me :D |
"Hungry For Heaven" by Ronnie James Dio, because I'm hungry for Heaven but I need a little Hell!!
|
This is a tough one. I'd have to say Prisoner of Society by The Living End.
|
Maybe, Beautiful day U2. I love that song!
|
Hmmmmm.... A song that describes me.... By it's text or by the sound of it's music? Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" seems to fit well for me.... I HATE school, at the moment anyway, otherwise I don't really know.....
|
"I'm The Only Hell My Mamma Ever Raised"
--Johnny Paycheck "Mama Tried" by Merle Haggard works good, too. |
The only song that comes immediately to mind is (now stop laughing, guys) Abba's "Dancing Queen". I love to dance.
I really can't think up anything more modest or intellectual, darn it. |

One's that I can think of off the top of my head are:: Waylon Jennings - I've Always Been Crazy Rolling Stones - Ruby Tuesday |
Creep-Radiohead
The Drugs don't work - Verve |
Oooooohhhhh. Well it isn't me currently but described who I was 6 years ago, perfectly. I still cry everytime I hear it: Mary Jane by Alanis Morissette. Even down to living in a hotel at the time - sounds good but the novelty wears off after the first 2 years.
About 5 months ago, Survivor by Destiny's Child would have been right. Perhaps one can only choose songs that reflect who they are after the event. LOL Fabulous question BTW Shadowhound. That'll have me thinking for a while |
I love Mungo Jerry's 'In The Summertime'. It's so happy and reminds me of hot, lazy days on the beach.
Yesterday it was so cold that I was singing it to myself down the street, everyone was staring at me but I am convinced things such as cold are mind over matter. Needless to say, this song helped immensely ;) |
"Something Inside So Strong" by Labi Siffre
Or possibly "Proud" by Heather Small. Both songs mean great things to me. |
that "I'm too sexy" song!
It describes me pretty good, I think :D |
Been thinking about it for a while.
Guess my answer is "Vigil in a wilderness of mirrors"by Fish. Think that song suits me just fine. |
Uh, for those who know me this may seem weird, but the song that comes to my mind is "Stranger Song" by Leonard Cohen.
|
I don't have a song that describes me: can I have a poem insted? If so, I will choose:
The Lovesong of J Alfred Prufrock, by T S Eliot |
Good to see the poll has got so many minds thinking about them selves.
|
Creep Jorlath? Nice song, is it one you want to put your name to though?
I would have to go for "Living in a Glass House" simply for the line: "Packed like frozen food and battery heads... don't talk politics and don't throw stones,". Radiohead, Gods on Earth and so very, very, perceptive. They seem to sum up my view of the world on so many occasions, the above linis the best example. |

Most of the times when fall in love with a girl, I feel like the guy in the song. I get full of selfdoubt and am sure that she deserves something so much better than me. Most of the time I hide it and play along. But it has at least 2 times ruined a relationship for me. It's weird but I just can't help it... |

It's such a pity Jorath, you're a really nice guy, you could get any girl, it's all between your ears, you know. It really is all about confidence. You could get anyone you want, seriously. You just have to learn to love yourself first |
"Not a Girl, Not yet a Woman" by Britney Spears.
For clarification, i hate her. ;) |
"Would?" by Alice In Chains:
Know me broken by my master Teach thee on child of love hereafter Into the flood again Same old trip it was back then So I made a big mistake Try to see it once my way Drifting body it's sole desertion Flying not yet quite the notion Into the flood again Same old trip it was back then So I made a big mistake Try to see it once my way Into the flood again Same old trip it was back then So I made a big mistake Try to see it once my way Am I wrong? Have I run too far to get home? Have I gone? And left you here alone? If I would, could you? |
