Don't be shy people...
I know that tv and monitor radiations a harsh for the eyes... but I was just wondering how many of us don't wear glasses and wear glasses? I do not wear any glasses |
I do... when it's unavoidable, like driving and seeing slides in lectures. What can I say? I'm vain ;)
well that's kind of a good thing... i have heard that wearing glasses and making it a significant part of your life actually degrades your vision all the more... is this true?

No glasses. I prefer contacts. ;)
no glasses here! i have 20/13 vision... i must get it from my mom's side, nobody over there has gotten glasses til they're 40+!
I don't wear glasses, nor does anyone in my family. I've been sitting behind computer screens a lot throughout my admittedly rather short life, but it doesn't seem to have damaged my eyes as of yet. Thankfully ;)
Well... yes! I wear them only two months but I plan to buy contacts in a few months.
Yeap. I can see perfectly without but I miss out on a lil depth perception without them (my left eye is over 300 by my right eye is perfect). I use them whenever I'm on the computer or have to concentrate on something (like when I'm painting)
I was the only person in the first grade to have glasses other than the teacher :D
I can't see anything without them. I got hard contacts when I was 13 and for 20 years didn't wear glasses at all. About 3 years ago I started having problems with my contacts and bought my first pair of glasses in nearly 20 years. The problems with my contacts continued and within 3 months I was back to just glasses. Lately, I've gotten soft contacts and mostly wear them. |
Contact lenses here. ;)
I've worn glasses since I was three. :( Hate 'em. But I feel naked without them...
And I'll tell you something else for free! You eyes get cold when you take the glasses off! (I bet you really wanted to know that....!) |
Wore contacts for years and years, but can't afford them now. I wear glasses for nearly every activity except for reading, close-up work (stitching), and the computer (hurts to wear glasses at the computer).
As for your other question, I heard once that there was a method for improving your vision to 20/20, apparently by practicing daily to focus on a near and far object, say, along a ruler or something. I tried that for a while, but it didn't seem to help much. |
hmm, so me and the old man are the only two without glasses here? cool...
Worn them off and on since I was five or six.
well i heard the perfect vision is what, 20/10? bah what the heck... my left eye is crap and right is good... very..
but then i don't wear glasses ;) |
I've been lucky so far and avoided them. Everyone else in my family needs them though, and I think the time may be coming soon...
Yes i wear glasses, i have had them since i was born i think... Or maybe when i was 7 yrs old :D
Glasses here, and proud of them!
Yup I wear glasses, thick ones, and have since I was a baby. My eyesight still sucks - it's 20/40 in my right eye and 20/200 in the left eye - and that's corrected!!
Wearing glasses. Have been for about 12 years. I should of had then when I was younger but I did lots of squinting.
Has anyone that wears glasses thought of doing the laser surgery. To try to correct there sight. I had a friend that wore glasses and he did the surgery and poof no glasses. I would love to do it but the cost to get it done is stopping me. |
I wear glasses and wouldn't ever exchange them for contacts (I heard about how contacts can do annoying things and I also imagine trying to find the suckers blind after taking them off)
I might get laser corrective surgery later in my life, in the long run it saves cash and having no glasses might help me with some jobs since I'm not handicapped by needing them on |
No glasses, no contacts, perfect vision.
I've worn glasses for 25 years. They're a part of me. I don't think I would feel right without them now.
Contacts weren't a realistic option. I have astigmatism and contacts aren't very effective at correcting it. |
Got contacts a few months ago.
Glasses here too. I've had them since I was 11 I think. I only take them off when i'm running or reading a book. I can't even see the board in class without them.
wore glasses for 8 years, got'em when i was 8, which would make me 16, as soon as i turn 18 im getting laser surgery (you cant do it until your 18 ;.)
