Having trouble opening the food packages? http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/disgust.gif
Which food package(s) gave you the most headaches, stress, or heart attacks when trying to open them?

mine is:
Kraft Mac 'n' Cheese (press and tear HAH!)
Dubble bubble gum (no matter how careful it tears open and spills all over the floor)
Microwave dinners (with flimsy covering that splits when peeling away)

Sometimes bags of chips(potato chips, not english chips as in Fish and Chips.) or gummi bears will be impossible to open, forcing you to rip at it so hard that when you finally get it open, the contents of the bag will be all over the floor/table/room.

Sometimes packets of Ketchup & Mustard can be pretty tuff (I think they might be easier for girls than us guys cuz of their little fingers)

anything thats been vac sealed with stuff hanging off the sides. you CANNOT tear it as there is no space in between the two sides!

I find CD's especially annoying to open. Not just the plastic wrapped around it, but the cases themselves too! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no.../angryfire.gif

The tiny little screw top cap on bottles of Tabasco Sauce. No matter what you do, they get gummed and glued up with dried sauce. Very difficult to get off. Because its so small, you can't get a good grip.

( And don't tell me to buy bigger bottles !! - A small bottle of that stuff lasts years ... http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif )

a good friend of mine taught me the ultimate trick, once you know it you'll never have a problem with one of those again in your life. it doesn't even involve any extra kind of tool of any sort. too bad i can't really show you, and i'm too lazy to explicate further...http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/hihi.gif

I find the cases easy to open and you can easily open the plastic around it if you have a pointy and/or sharp object lying around.

I agree Ladyzekke. But it's not the wrapping of the CDs but their cases, as you said. They're so ....rectangular and shining and........ annoying to open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

I once tried to open a rather obstinate packet of potato chips. It was a most frustrating experience. In the end I got so sick of wrestling with the damn thing that I squeezed it until it burst. This scattered the chips far and wide, all accross the room. By this time I had lost my appetite, as you can imagine http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

Jars.
I keep scissors handy for most everything else but they don't help with those hard to open jars! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Not a food, but the bottle of NyQuil is tough to open. Of course that may be because you're at your weakest! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

Wine bottles. You need a tool to open them.

Either them or cans. Ever tried opening either without the respective tool?

Peanuts!! I can't open a single damn bag of peanuts, 'cause the little things spill all over the floor.

And then there's packaging (with those plastic film coverings - especially biscuits!) that have their "please tear here" tabs missing.

Dont know if people eat paint, but I find those little bottles of model paint REALLY hard to open when the paint gets on the lid and the edge and hardens up..its like the damn thing is glued together and it makes this REALLY squeaky high-pitched noise when you open it..
Or the ones with the caps that you have to pop open with your thumb..

For the sake of this thread, assume I eat paint http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

ROTFL!!! I was going to post the exact same thing, but then I remembered most people don't consider paint edible http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...s/biglaugh.gif
Anyway for my calligraphy I use these small tubes of gouache, which have tiny screw-on caps. After I've used them a few times, the caps will get stuck due to all the dried-up paint on them, and I can't use force to open them, because then I ruin the tubes themselves by twisting them too hard... http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/mad111.gif http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no.../angryfire.gif ....verrry annoying http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
