MORE LOGICAL ANSWER: To achieve your destiny. Your life will always end with your destiny, no matter what it is. You have control over your life and how you achieve your destiny you decide.

LESS LOGICAL ANSWER: Dictionary Definition; To Live

Don't take this the wrong way but what the heck are you two talking about? What does it's also 42 mean?

42 is the answer to life, universe and everything. It's from the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.
But nobody knows the meaning of life. Many people think that people that die of old age die happilly, because they have completed their purpose in this life.

Although I´m not a bit religious at all, I can tell you: read the holy bible. It´s all in there. It may sound a bit too easy, but even Jesus didn´t follow all of his dad´s laws. I think that god himself is not a physical manifestation or an old guy who created the universe, he´s synonymous with the good intentions that sleep within all of us and if we follow our own good feelings, we can live and finally die in peace.

The meaning of life is to discover the purpose of being.

There is no single meaning to live, every being, sentient and otherwise, must find what it believe to be the true meaing, yet niether is the meaning the quest for meaning (well for me at least)

Wasn't 42 the answer to the question 'what is 9x6'.

The spooky thing is if you turn 42 upside down and look at it in a mirror you get 2b. The meaning of life the universe and every thing is 'to be'

In the matter of 42 shouldn't we be asking what the question is? for 42 was the answer but it is useless without the question.

The question was 'what is 9x6?'

No it wasn't, the mice made the machine to know the answer to life the universe and everything but it gave the answer of 42, but it didn't know the actual question that gave it as answer. unable to face the peole with no real answer the mice scienist came up with 6x4 which they thought was too easy as well as how many roads must a man walk down which was too surreal, so the made earth, but the people were killed and replaced by the 'B' class people from the crashed ship, thus destoring the experment and tainting the answer. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

From what I remember Arthur & Ford are on the planet with the 'B' class people and the cavemen (who weren't really cavemen because they lived in huts) and Arthur Dent was trying to teach the cavemen how to play scrabble. They discussed how the great question may be imprinted on Arthurs subconscious and tried to bring it out by getting him to pull scrabble tiles from the bag at random. The result was 'what do you get if you multiply nine by six.

Of course nine by six only equals 42 in base 13 numbering system.

Yes but Arthur is the desent of the 'C' class (sorry my mistake earlier) people, who are not the beings created by the mice to find the answer as such the answers he gives is wrong.

Oh another note the echo of the big bang does resante on a feqency of 42 and it was only found out after the book was written, freaky huh?

G'kar 08-15-2001 01:54 AM

perhaps the meaning of life is figuring out what the meaning of life is...or its 42...or its both.

WOLFGIR 08-15-2001 05:13 AM

Well I hope you have read Dougla Adams.. Earth is the calculator to get the question tho the answer. The question what is the meaning of life is the simplification. And since no one knew the whole question, the answer was all that was left. And it is simply 42..

hehe http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
Well Meaning of life, I think you get close to that in the end of your life, only then are you experienced to know of it.

I mean the answer could be a really dull one. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

well...ehh... i never really thought much on this, really concerned more on what happens after life, so ill just say...

To live http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

------------------
It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.
