It's amazing how much we rely on our computers, isn't it? I think I would do a lot more reading. There are so many books out there that I would love to read and it seems like I just don't make the time because I'm on the computer.

Fljotsdale, do you have a "to read" pile? I am so far behind it is not even funny and if I would spend less time on the computer, I would definitely get more reading in.

Um. Yeah. Embarrassin', ain't it? I have a stack of 5 on my bedside cabinet AND almost a whole bookcase full (smallish bookcase, 3-shelfer) - and those are just the new ones! I have a huge number of books from second-hand bookshops, too! The habit of BUYING the books is even more addictive than reading them - and computers are CONSIDERABLY more addictive than that! I confess! I'm a computerholic! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/FRblush.gif

Fljotsdale, I didn't want to confess about buying books. Didn't know there was someone out there that felt like I did. Do you belong to any book clubs? Hey, don't laugh. They have great deals. You can join, get 5 or 6 books for a dollar and the only requirement is to buy two more books (actually the book clubs are all different, just using an example) in the next two years. The books are below retail cost, so it's great. After I'm in a book club for awhile and when I fulfill the requirement, I quit and before you know it, they are sending me something in the mail to join again. I currently have about 20 books that I haven't read yet, including "The Dark Elf Trilogy" and "Legacy of the Drow" by R. A. Salvatore.

I'd be aware of the birds the cats brought in before they de-featherd them in the front room.

I'd be able to keep them from playing plum-hockey on the dining room table.

I'd hear them climbing my plant stands before they knock down pots with sentimental value and break them.

I'd pet them more.

I'd play with them more.

I'd get more work done on a daily basis, that's for sure!

I'd probably even scan the satellite guide to see what good movies are on that I have been missing.

I'd definitely get caught up on my reading. I'm like several of the others on this board...I have shelves full of books just begging to be read, but I just don't have the time! (Or rather, I do have the time, but I choose to do other things with that time...such as spend time here...)

I'd take up music again...buy a new bass guitar (since someone stole my bass http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif ) and teach myself how to play slap bass.

I'd spend more time outside, out in nature.

I'd write more - in my journal, poetry, short stories.

I'd devote more time to finding a new job...it's so much easier to put that off by playing around on the computer and just staying unhappy at the job I'm at!
