Well, at least they stopped BSing you guys.

:D

Speaking of taxes I just got a letter from the govy. They said we made a error and now send us 2400 bucks. LOL Dam them. No tax return this year for me. ;)
|
Yeh, well this morning, Donna went to go to work (I work here at home mostly) and go to find the 2 left tires were flat in the garage. YEY! Then she remembered the day before about hitting a piece of wood.. (ugh).
We have a road hazard coverage on the new tires (they have less that 10,000 miles on em.. tread awesome still). So no worries.. but what a pain. We did our taxes on the phone, and is pretty damn fast. |
I do all my taxes online.
Its pretty easy once you get your head around all their jargon. |
Sucks having two flat tires. Since most cars have only one spare. ;)
On-line taxes for me as well. Works great. Yeah right ;) |

I use Tax Cut, and have for 4 or more years. I never file before April 1, because I always owe money. I suspect the same will happen this year, even though I claimed 0 deductions and also pop in a little extra out of every paycheck just to keep The Man at bay.
|
LOL, I love the new tax form.
My oh so clever attempt to avoid a refund and get more each check by upping my allowances backfired. So I gotta pay a couple hundred bucks. Sucks, but it does almost beat giving the government an interest-free loan for the last 12 months. BTW I've never owed before, do I just send them a check with my paperwork? |
I'll check, but I think you can send a check.
I wish you could send cash, I'd pay to mail them the $3K I usually owe all in nickels and dimes (a death by 1,000 cuts metaphor), the bastages. |
Yup - check is the preferred method. Living in KC I always have to file both MO and KS taxes, so I owe in one and get everything back in another. Big pain in can...
And since I'm griping anyway (I did my taxes this week) - you have to love paying a 1% city tax to live in a city rated to have the country's worst roads and has a school district that lost it's accreditation, but can pay the mayor's assistants 6 figures to read the newspaper and look intimidating... |
Try our 2% property tax in chicago, with the same sorts of local over-government and cronyism issues.... UGH!
|
I also love your neverending toll roads out there.
|
Gotta love the Chicago toll roads... aka the tourist tax. Half-price tolls if you have a pikepass (or whatever it is)... but full toll if you don't.
Chewie, if you ended up owing a couple of hundred, I'd say you aced it. It's when you owe a couple of grand that it hurts... :( I use TurboTax and have used it for a long time. I switched to Tax Cut when TurboTax had its brief licensing insanity period, but Tax Cut wasn't trustworthy -- it screwed up a couple of things that I caught, and their support was little more than "blow it away and try again". I believe I had three issues where it was extracting data from Quicken incorrectly... @%$@^@#$ |
