Believe it or not, for the first time since its inception in 1909, MI6 is actively looking for staff. Go get your Moneypenny.

That is the coolest thing EVER.

If only I lived over there. I could be the next Sydney Bristow....

Purr...

I've just been to check out which college to go to...what do I need to work for MI6?

That would be so cool at a school reunion.

If Donut were dead, he would be turning in his grave right now. :D

Oddly, he'd be more upset by the tragic proliferation of the letter "t" than by any real implications due to MI6's "hitting the bricks" for hiring.

Of course he would be - that was my first thought - TL must be out to see if there are any pastries nibbling today ;)

I wasn't intending to go fishing, but I do note that it looks like I landed the #2 D.

I can see it now, Scotlands "In the wrong job advert" has a prolific new front liner... :D

Any coincidence that MI6 is looking for new staff and Donut (or should that be D007nut) is missing? I think not.

Ah - not at all my erstwhile inebriated interlocutor ;) . Yes, I believe we are good enough to deserve a place in Germany 06.

I think though that the system screws us over badly by setting us up for 2 matches every 4 years, and very little in the way of decent warm up matches because for friendlies the clubs just will not release the players early enough and often enough to build team structure.

Two points to make :

1) Gus Hiddink is doing good things with the team - they will be stronger with him in charge
2) I will be happier next time to see us play in the larger group (Asia) which provides a fairere avenue and an opportunity for direct qualification. For serious internationals the clubs have no alterative but to release the players, and the team will benefit next time from the greater opportunity to gel into a formation. To those who grumble about an easier qualification route of Asia I say that if we are good enough to qualify from the zone then we deserved the opportunity to take the place of a weaker nation. If we are not good enough then there can be no grumbles from anywhere about an unfair system.

Come now TL - the title screamed out "oh look - baited hook" and then you confirmed it by your "nonchalant" acknowledgment that you expected D1 would have been morttally offended by your grammatical aerobics.

I thought lawyers were sharper - er - more subtle - er somewhat subtitler than that :D I suspect that D2 will be pleased to know that you miss him though ;)

Actually, it was borne of simple ignorance. I don't know how to spell, and the spelling deficiency regarding the UK has been pointed out to me before. So, I'm just trying to embrace a recognized deficiency and turn it into a joke.

Of course, if anyone, I expected you to come out of the woodwork. And, I never claimed to be that sharp -- I just get by with a little help from my friends.
