Make Up Lesson

Ojmy!

Jaradu 07-09-2005 12:23 PM

After the "holy-crap-what-is-she-doing-to-her-eyes" factor finishes, the results are actually quite impressive. :D

Geez! It's a frikkin glue! A GLUE!!!
Now I know girls tend to overdo the makeup part, but this is seriously over the top in a bad way.

hey, it's WAAAY better'n what the oriental and hapa-haole girls did when i was growing up.

they absolutely HATED having "single eyes" (standard oriental eyelids) and made "double eyes" (standard caucasian eyelid folds) by cutting scotch tape and taping them from their inner eye to beyond the outer edge, to create the illusion of having caucasian eyes. and they'd put eyeliner on it to make it look deeper. the wider the piece of tape, the better. BUT they'd haveta redo them several times a day, because the tape would get oily and start to slide off, especially if they put eyeliner on them.

:(

and there i was, wishing i had beautiful oriental eyes and there wasn't anything i could do about it.

People to stranger things to their bodys.

Plastic surgeons also now will cut the eyelid for a permanent crease for Asians that want to do that. Apparently more do it than one would think (saw a show about it).

Ladyzekke 07-09-2005 07:45 PM

And as Q'alooaith said, I've seen worse watching those plastic surgery shows like The Swan, etc. The thing that cracks me up the most are those people who want to get basically muscle implants, i.e., leg implants to make them appear buff, but it's all silicone (or whatever it is they use for that sort of thing LOL). I mean, if you want those muscles THAT bad to where you are willing to pay a lot of money and undergo frikken surgery, then why not just, you know, work out...

For some reason, all those women in the end look the same (at least to me). And a bit creepy too actually.

The cutter determins the overall outcome to a large degree, so everyone he/she operates on will look like their vision of perffection.

And it varys from place to place.

I never quite understood all the 'cut things to make them look different' fads. I mean if you've been in a fire or an accident, or something, I see that plastic surgery would be wonderful to help you get back to 'normal' but just to enhance things....never appealed to me. But I guess some people are just very unhappy with their looks. It's sad, really because you wonder how much is their inner self being unhappy and how much is all the hype and advertising they see that tells them what 'perfect' should be.

LZ, you're kidding?! FAKE muscles with SURGERY? ugh...yah, you'd think it would be MUCH easier to go to the gym or something!

I'm surprised that girl can still blink...a natural necessity for the health of the eye. But, at the end of the show, she was doing so...so I guess it's easier than it would have appeared to be.
