Well i'll start by saying i dislike a lot of rap but i do accept it as an art form, and there are songs i like, i refuse to hate it just for the sake of hate.

Black pop, you know that new age R&B which is really not R&B at all (an R&B artist is someone like Louis Armstrong) is complete crap, where rap has a lot of good artists and has a purpose, it originated in the ghettos where the kids couldn't afford instruments and sung about their lives or themselves, black pop is just rubbish with some black guy singing about how black he is while loads of barely dressed women dance around him, i believe it is my least favourite form of music.

(And to clarify because i can deffinatly see how it could be misinterpreted, i am not racist, i am just stateing the facts about that particular style of music if i am incorrect feel free to correct me)

not all country music though, again you can't disclude an entire form, there are bands such as "The Highwayman" whom are amazing. If you want an example of good country listen to "The Highwayman - Highwayman"

Music, at least what you hear on the radio (no matter what genre/station) is overrated. During an 8 hour shift hearing half a dozen bands (or more) 4 or 5 times (at least) is ridiculous. What do they think we are, American Idiots?

The latest Greenday, U2, and Beastie Boys (and I'm guessing Coldplay) are decent enough Cd's but Coldplay's CD has hardly been out a month and I'm already sick of it. Sure, it set internet presales records, but it's also setting records for how fast a CD will be played into the ground and beyond...

As for various styles of music, I like stuff from across the board, with the exception to the gangsta/thug rap, which I have no taste for. Other than that it's fair game
