I don't think it's that he needed glasses because it appears that he's looking down instead of ahead of him.

I know when I was *much* younger, LOL, and running relays that I tended to focus on where I was putting my feet so I didn't go out of my lane. I'm guessing this guy was doing the same.

The girl, on the other hand, should have been watching what *she* was doing as she had to have known she was crossing (what looks to be) practice lanes and, as she's got on a number also, she had to know what they were there for. ;)

Saddest thing of all is, it may just be that the reason she turned her head was that someone tried to get her attention to stop her from walking into the guy's lane. Some people are just soooo unaware.
