I have been trying to connect to the forum since about 7:30a EST and have tried all throughout the day and just NOW connected. I'm here posting for 2 days and was scared to find myself jonesing for a forum fix. It was too funny the elation I felt when I saw it was connected.

I am counting the days down until BG and ToSC arrive, 4-14 days to go!

This place kinda works like a drug, doesn't it ? :D Hooked already ?

Edd_y 06-08-2005 05:11 PM

Lol Umm Tilia a word of advice. Stay away from addictive substances.

And you wont be sorry for getting BG + TOSC, just make sure you get this mod for it.

http://chosenofmystra.net/mods/dsotsc/download.htm

It adds quite a bito fun!

I disagree, the first time you play BG&TotSC, you should play the original unmodded game. Then, once you have completed, play through with the mods.

The Dark Side is a cool mod though, just not first time through...

TiliaLyn 06-09-2005 07:30 AM

I hadn't intended to add anything but patches my first time through. I've been tryig my darndest to stay away from the walkthroughs as well. I did read through Six of Spades' site though and found it very interesting and informative and not verbose at all. : : But then again, I love to read!!

Mack_Attack 06-09-2005 08:15 AM

Jorath nice addition to your sig Perv. ;)

And have with BG and TOSC.

TiliaLyn 06-09-2005 08:31 AM

Jorath - is that ass wiggler in your sig from Apocolypse Redux? Just watched that movie over the weekend and I swear one of the USO/Playboy chicks wore a costume just like that.

LOL, I got hooked on IW years ago, so I hear yah, TiliaLyn! :D We were down for router trouble, there was lightning down at Ziroc's place and his router got hit.

I agree with Lav on the 'unmodded' version first then add things and play again. It's a great series, a classic!

No idea... just thought it was funny she "wiggles" almost in unison with Gene...

Iron Greasel 06-09-2005 09:53 AM

She doesn't. Change framerate.

johnny 06-09-2005 10:40 AM

This one wiggles better.

i had trouble getting on yesterday too, said there was no data. I've noticed it does this every once on while, but yesterday it was for most of the day. I have no idea why this is, as i think others can get on when it says i can't, but I can go on all others sites fine. Strange phenomenom[sic?]

Edit: OK, so this time it was the lightning a Z's place (just read the thread), but it happens at other times. Its weird.

Yeah, lots of people have that problem. I used to until I switched to firefox... do you use IE still?

Lavindathar 06-09-2005 05:37 PM

I don't think that has anything to do with it....

I much prefer IE over FF and Mozilla...

armageddon272 06-09-2005 07:08 PM

I think it does. I don't have much to compare to though. I used Mozilla before I signed up to IW. except for when the server is down, I never have trouble getting in. The wrost problem I've ever had are those rare occasions when a link won't load and I have to click again.

RoSs_bg2_rox 06-09-2005 07:31 PM

You do get timeouts aswell with Firefox - I didn't really get any, until recently. Hopefully they have gone now, with the new router and NIC.

Hivetyrant 06-09-2005 07:39 PM

Gah, I always get timeouts at work, it really pisses me off, but there is nothing I can do about it :(

I used to get them after about 10 minutes of being on IW with IE, but with Firefox I've never gotten one (except for tuesday or whatever day there was that lightning strike).
