Mystra and Llolth fight to the death, the song playing is "Rock You Like a Hurricane". Who wins? (Written Scenarios welcome, of why they're fighting and how one wins)

Ooh, voting is tight [img]smile.gif[/img] I was always under the impression that (as far as gods go) Lolth wasn't all that powerful...

And isn't Mystra the God of magic or something? You can't go wrong with that!

Well, whatever Lloth tries to do, Mystra can out do her, not only because she's the keeper of magic and the caretaker of the Weave, but because she's a Greater Diety, whereas Lloth is only Intermediate(I could be wrong, not sure...), and Mystra has a cooler symbol [img]tongue.gif[/img]
Lloth has way too many enemies, and since Vhaeraun showed up, Shar isn't too keen on Lloth either, granting the Shadow Weave to Vhaeraun. I think most Epic characters (above some 25th level) could wipe the floor with her avatar, so nope, I don't see Lloth surviving this one.

Mystra. Hell, Elminster could probably beat Lloth!

What better one would want them? [img]tongue.gif[/img] I like my followers to have a healthy love of fresh air, the ability not to keep killing each other and a culture which doesn't require killing of the finest males by the dozen for being disrespectful!

I generally don't have a lot of respect for Llolth, but I'm pretty sure she could beat someone who was dead.

mystra got killed because she didnt have her full strength when she was stripped of her powers by supreme god (Ao?) when they were banished to be mortals.

as for llolth, i read how she became the dreaded spider queen. quite interesting when she was the most beautiful and the wife of the most powerful elf god (forgot his name). it was when she was corrupted did they curse her into becoming a half-spider, half-elf.

Yeah, she's pretty ugly, I'd like to kick her in the nuts!

Mystra would pwn Lloth. Mystra would just deny Lloth access to the weave and then blast her!

Mm... If we really want a match, we should think about Lloth versus Selune. Not counting allies and enemies (because Mystra would side with Selune, and Shar would jump at the chance to fight against Selune. Then it turns into Shar against Mystra, another one for the books)

Lloth would win because: she doesn't have a munchkin wizard, and she doesn't have drizzt, therefore, as DM, I would fudge the rolls in her favour [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Ah, but she could have had Drizzt. It's her own damn fault that he turned away from her because she was evil. I wouldn't fudge the rolls, to teach her that her actions have consequences.

You really need to read the Dark Elf Trilogy.

Just because Mystra was killed doesn't mean she couldn't defeat Lolth, beings are actually able to die when they're mortal.

Why did Helm kill Mystra? Surely Mystra is generally considered to be a 'good' deity?

She giggled when she saw him naked and started calling him "Transluscent Man".

Which god wins depends only and totally on Divine Rank. ;)

Aye, Helm killed Mystra because she was stripped down to avatar power, while Helm still bore the power of a greater god (I believe he was still a greater god at the time).

Lolth last time I checked, was a lesser god, with the other drow gods (other than the "elder elemental god") being of equal rank or lower.

That said, it still primarily depends on where the fight is taking place. if it's in the demoweb pits, Lolth will win, in Mystra's home, it's all Mystra, On the Prime Material Plane, say Faerun, out of doors, away from their temples and followers, I would give it to Mystra, as she is greater in power and was a mortal (and thus knows all about PMS and can tap into that rage, and turn Lloth/Lolth into a chocolate bunny to appease her PMS rage).

Heck, my 37th Level Paladin/Champion of Torm killed her in "The Demonweb Pits" Mod for NWN> I'm sure that Mystra wouldn't have any problems.

Sorry, but Mystra is greater power, Loth is a lesser deity. Loth would get owned so bad it would be funny.

He told them that they couldn't come back until they found and returned these tablets. Mystra then tried to climb the celistial stairway that Helm was guarding. Hlem told her that she couldn't go further do do so would break the law that AO passed. She was persistant. Helm killed her.
