Hello.

I have a strong wish to hear beautifully electric guitar sound-filled songs.

Led Zeppelin rocks, that much I know. ;)

Would Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix also be good as such? Then, what else?

Thanks.

You want straight guitar gods? Jimi, of course, is the ultimate guitar god. My other favorites include Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. They tend more towards a Rock/jazz/fusion kind of sound... very melodic and interesting.

From a straight rock perspective, Rush has always been one of my musical favorites (as in music-focused songs). Pink Floyd is good musically, but I find their music more interesting lyrically (as in the songs themselves).

Best thing is there are no wrong answers. Try 'em out and see what you like!

Metallica, Megadeth, Iron maiden. Metal gods. Listen and worship.

Metallica, from the old days. My favorite is from the "Ride the Lightening" CD, called "Fade to Black". Can't top that one.

Very well done SomeGuy. I'd also add Stevie Ray Vaughn.

...There was a skit on the Dave Chappelle Show about how white people always dance when they hear electric guitar...even had John Meyer wandering around with him conducting...experiments.

Get a bit of Clapton on there too. Pink Floyd aren't none so much for their guitar solos, as the way their songs are made up, the way the albums goes through like a story etc. They are great, but not the liveliest. There are hundreds of great guitarists, I am good friends with great guitarists. It just depends what sorta stuff you like.

Check out A Perfect Circle though, they are nice. ;)

I listened to a bit of Pink Floyd and it sounded way too soft for me. Do they have any louder, more rocking songs?

To specify what my music taste is like, I like Led Zeppelin's Kashmir and Dazed & Confused a lot. I absolutely love Queens of the Stone Age, especially their 2 latest albums.

AC/DC rocks. Back in Black and TNT are great.

No one said Blue Oyster Cult. That's sad, as I consider them one of the greatest groups I've ever heard. "Harvester of Eyes", "Buck's Boogie", and "ETI" are some of my favorites, and they have good electric guitar. Also, even though it's almost impossible to get last I heard, the album "Imaginos" is amazing. Good hunting.
