Hi guys,
It's been a long time since I logged in here and it's actually a wonder I could remember my password. I've recently been struck by some BG nostalgia, and I want to chase up some of the music from the game. I used to have a few of the songs, such as the music from Candlekeep, and I managed to chase up the main theme to BG2, as well as some remixes of Minsc, Tiax, etc.. Are there any sites around where I could download this kind of thing? Any help would be appreciated. |
Hi welcome back...
I think you can download the music somewhere on the Bioware homepage I think... |

Wasn't the whole soundtrack on the site of one of the companies involved with BG. Interplay could have been it but I remember that I could download it all.

Hmm that site seems to be out of the air :(

Michael Hoenig is the big name behind the Baldur's Gate music, so I'd do a search for him and see what it turns up. Since you've actually bought the game, I don't see why you can't download his tracks off a p2p filesharing program either. You've done your bit to support the company.

I got the remixes of Minsc and Tiax from this site... I'll keep on searching I guess. Thanks for the replies |
Hi Sylent! Man it's been AGES since you've been around! Nice to see you again friend! Unfortunately I can't help you re your question, but I just recently finished a very long lived multiplay of BGII and always have liked the music. I finally took BGII off my PC once we finished, cause I've played that game inside out upside down by now LOL, but it kinda hurt hitting that delete button after so many years.
Hope life is treating you well, glad you remembered your password LOL. |
Yeah, it has been a while indeed.
I want to chase up a copy of Planescape: Torment, but it really doesn't look like happening. I've tried multiple gaming shops, but in the end I might have to try and download a ripped version of it. Good to see you Zekke/Wendy. Wow, I haven't played BG2 in ages. I still think of it sometimes, just how much fun I had with it, but like I said, I haven't played a game in quite a few years now. Hope things are well for you. |
Have you tried Ebay Sylent? When it comes to older games they always seem to have it when all else fails. Planescape Torment is an excellent game, a classic and very unique. It never did get the fame it should have, which sucks cause I really wanted to see another one come out, as the ending left things wide open. Sigh..
Well our multigame with BGII/TOB went on for years because we only played once a week, and there were gaps with months we never played, so it just took ages LOL, and we just finished it this past January. Things are well for me, am waiting for Spring cause tired of winter now LOL. Guess you can't relate since it is summer there still LOL. Hope all is going well with you?, and hope you find something to play. Again Planescape is a great choice. |
<span style="color: lightblue">Google for Near Infinity, and then for 'acm2wav' . With these two programs, you can extract the audio yourself, and then convert it into a format that most media players can understand.
