My desk is too much of a mess And I have to find the camera, maybe a complete pick later

LadyZekke I think I have a theme with exactly the same pic as you have only coloured different.

My desk, just took it now, please note the Return of the king Extended version I just got for christmas... I'm going to watch it after this post

[edit] also note that the date on my camera is wrong... should say 25th... unless I'm living in some sort of a time loop

ladyzekke - love the lighting, very festive :D

Someguy - your pictures don't work for me. those URL's lead to blank screens.

Bahamutt - What is the background on your desktop, it looks like Neverwinter Nights but I'm not sure.

philip - Cool background, any chance you could send me the URL to the picture, or does it come with your OS.

Jorath - Return of the King extended is really good. We bought it in America on holiday, thinking our DVD was multi-regional and it isn't :(

Xen - You have PES4 on PC, is it better than console?

I'll try and dig out a camera or webcam to get a picture of my desk.

Xen 12-25-2004 01:12 PM

I didn't play the console version so I can't say.

johnny 12-25-2004 01:16 PM

I can't believe how many icons some of you have on your desktops, you guys do know you can put em in a folder, right ? :D

Ivelliis 12-25-2004 01:20 PM

Xen - I was wondering to get that instead of Fifa (which I get every year).

johnny - I don't have that many, compared to ladyzekke and Xen, who have WAY to many

My desktop is to remind me to Register my iPod on apple.com, and to remind me that I was up to Little by Little when adding songs to my iPod.
( It lost power halfway through >=( )

Xen 12-25-2004 01:23 PM

Ivelliis, I suggest you get PES 4. It's waaaaaaaaaaaaay better then Fifa.

dplax 12-25-2004 03:25 PM

Here is mine: I know the desk is pretty cluttered (I'm only home from France for a week and a half...), but my computer desktop should fit Johnny's standards.

Nope it didn't come with my OS but even if it came I could send it to you Open source is open source I'll send it to the address in your profile in a minute

Ivelliis 12-25-2004 05:22 PM

Ok thanks :D

Ladyzekke 12-25-2004 09:42 PM

Someguy - Could have sworn last night I saw your pictures. I mean the screen is already wide here in this thread, so you should put it up again.

Bahamut - Nice pic on your screen, what is that thing on the right below your monitor? LOL, hey it's 2:33! :D

Philip - Yeah I got that background from digitalblasphemy, and it does also come in blue. Did you find your camera yet? )d

Jorath - What a nice neat space you have there, Love the wood desk that matches the walls. You need better speakers though, like surround sound ones.

Xen - Pretty cloud background.

Ivelliis - Thanks, I decorate everything on Christmas LOL. Boy, you sure need some color in your background LOL, digitalblashemy.com, check it!

Johnny - Hey, I don't mind the clutter, I prefer the quick click convenience. :D

dplax - Oooo, you got about five bucks in quarters there LOL. What is that one thing on the wall, right above the left side of your monitor?

Here's another pic of my desk, actually my "platform" its on LOL.

http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/ladyzekke/deska.jpg

Bahamut 12-25-2004 10:24 PM

Yeah my wallpaper is NWN. I switch to this or the Night Elf box art which is a classic. ;)

LadyZ, well I have my clock, the white is the iPod dock. I think what you're referring to is the one with the purple nose. Hehehe It's a paper clip with a suction thingy below it. It's a cow's head, and a cute one at that, but then I have no idea where to put it. :D

SomeGuy 12-26-2004 01:21 AM

Well I'd post them but for some reason they arn't showing up, so sorry folks.

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 12-26-2004 07:21 AM

This is the new PC which I use most of the time. I'm actually on the one older one to the left of the pic now 'cos I'm having trouble with the HP Camera software on the new one. I can't seem to download anything anymore.
http://img151.exs.cx/img151/6653/picture0017db.jpg

Sorry, had to resize!

Desktop

Xen 12-26-2004 10:11 AM

Actually it's euros and hungarian forints mixed, so no quarters. :D

That thing is something to do with the heating in my room. It is connected to the radiator which heats with heated water, but I haven't managed to find out what the purpose of that metal thingy is.

Vaskez 12-26-2004 03:39 PM

Yeah, dplax is rich, observe the 1000 forint notes :D LOL I dunno what quarters look like but looks like he's also collecting 100 forint coins.
Also, better watch out, I've nearly caught you up in attribute points in KoL :D

RoSs_bg2_rox 12-26-2004 05:41 PM

You guys do know that although having a load of icons on your desktop may be convenient, it slows down loading times significantly when starting pc etc. ;)

And if your using the icons for quick loading files and folders all the time then it would be a good use of preloading time, rather than wasting time searching though folders for the relivent info's..

Despite what you might have heard, some professionals do load up their (insert OS here) desktops with projects they are currently working on or use often..

RoSs_bg2_rox 12-26-2004 06:28 PM

But obviously you wouldn't use 30 folders all the time.

Yes Pros might, but they wouldn't be working on many projects at a time anyway. It doesn't make too much difference, especially if you never turn your computer off, but it does still slightly effect performance.

My desktop... click for a bigger version. Unusually tidy, just did some christmascleaning last week

Anyway LZ, yes I really need new speakers, these are terrible.
I've had that desk since I was 13 really like it except I sometimes wish it was bigger.

Oh and I really like the lights around your "platform"... :D

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 12-26-2004 08:19 PM

Why are people posting their desktops? Isn't it suppose to be your computer work-play area?

Jorath Calar 12-26-2004 08:21 PM

Just for fun...

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 12-26-2004 08:22 PM

Ladyzekke 12-26-2004 08:54 PM

Oh that is a nice setup Rikard Well cept you gotta clean up all those empty glasses and water bottle LOL, :D what is that bottle of red something on the speaker? I like the semi-circle desk, I need one of those, very nice.

Sorry about the colour but had to use "night mode" to get it bright enough to see anything..

Once the camera's been offloaded of X-mas junk I'll put a proper one up.

If you look realy closely you can see somthings diffrent about my computer. See if you can guess what it is and why.

<span style="color: lightblue">Is it something to do with your Microsoft USB intelli-mouse being on the left?

Stormymystic 12-26-2004 09:27 PM

your mouse is on the left hand side?

Q'alooaith 12-26-2004 09:37 PM

Yup, because it got the dreaded double clicking..

For anyone who does not know intelli mice somtimes devlope a mechanical falure late in their lives, this results in every click of a button becomming a double click due to a lose connection, this normaly happens to the left mouse button..

So here I am learning to use my left hand till I get my new mousey.. (Seams the garentee don't cover you if your mice breaks when using it in a pillow fight [don't ask] all my own fault realy anyway.)

Anyone spot more diffrences, don't have to be about my computer..

My brother does the same thing, even though he is righthanded. Kinda grew that way since he needs his righthand to handle his flightstick and throttle.
