Jeez, this guy must really love his online gaming |

Where would someone stupid enough to buy a fictional place find $26000?

Everytime I begin to have a little faith in the human race again, a story like this comes along. |
Ok, according to the site, the guy actually gets revenue from other people, so this may have been a wise investment.
I cant believe he will actually MAKE money out of this!!! |
Hmm... online game with ancient graphics, shady sounding financing scheme... "virtaul" assets in exchange for real ones.
What's to complain about! |
If you've got that much money, you might as well spend it on something different.
(Yay, 100 posts :D ) |
Why can't I come up with these kinds of things?
*SHEESH!* I could be a gazillionaire by now if just ONCE I could think of something like this before everyone else. Hmmm...I wonder if I can start selling my dryer lint on eBay. Y'know? That's an idea...Lint Monsters and Dust Bunnies and such. I'll be back... ;) |
People have been selling virtual assets for money ever since online gaming got popular. How many people "buy" weapons for Diablo or Everquest on Ebay? I think I remember a story about someone buying an affluent character from someone else in the Everquest world for thousands of dollars.

Well, really, this thing seems more like fantasy football than a video game...people have to pay this person if they play in his "domain" or something like that...I figure, though, it's mostly just a scam to con money out of people...
