Gangrell 11-08-2004 08:46 PM

I ask that a prayer is said for Andrea tonight. When I got home yesterday, I received some very disturbing news. Andrea not only went back into a coma, but actually died on the table for five minutes before the doctors were able to bring her back. She's still in critical condition and the baby is now in the same status. From what I know, this just happened yesterday, so I ask everyone to say a small prayer for her tonight so she can pull through.

Thank you.

Jorath Calar 11-08-2004 08:56 PM

Thats terrible, I pray for them and will be thinking of you all, take care

Hivetyrant 11-08-2004 09:29 PM

A small prayer??? Im sure you will get more than that I will definantly hope that she makes it through. From what I heard her say, that baby means alot to her, so good luck, and Gangrell, keep us updated.

Ladyzekke 11-08-2004 09:31 PM

Oh that is terrible news Gangrell :( She definitely has all my heartfelt prayers, I hope she makes it through again.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Andrea and the baby, Gangrell!

Attalus 11-09-2004 02:04 PM

Yeah, my prayers are with her and the baby. Poor kid, she drew some seriously bad cards. :(

Cerek 11-09-2004 03:11 PM

I've said a prayer for Andrea and the baby and will continue to ask God to pull them both safely through this pregnancy. I also asked for prayers for her on the Christian Forums I visit. They have a forum dedicated solely to prayer requests, so I'm sure many of the members there will lift Andrea in their prayers as well.

Dron_Cah 11-09-2004 03:27 PM

My prayers are with her and the child, now.

Gangrell 11-09-2004 09:43 PM

Alright guys, here's an update.

For the majority of this day, Andrea has just been barely holding on without the need of life support. The doctors have managed to calm the baby down, but her heart rate has dropped into a dangerous zone, dangerous enough that she may need life support to sustain her. This is all I've heard so far and if an update comes again, it'll be late tomorrow when I do get it.

Thanks for reading again.

Ladyzekke 11-09-2004 09:52 PM

Andrea continues to have my prayers. She seems strong to me so far, and I truly hope she can maintain that strength to get her, and her baby, through this.

Bungleau 11-09-2004 09:53 PM

I'm glad that she's holding on. More prayers go out to both of them.

Spirits forever 11-10-2004 08:57 PM

Attalus 11-10-2004 09:12 PM

Glad that she is not on life support. A prayer for her, with more on the way.

javan 11-11-2004 03:42 AM

Add my thoughts and prayers with the others. Please keep us posted on Andrea and her baby.

Gangrell 11-11-2004 07:12 AM

Hey guys, I got some news last night. It seems that Andrea is doing better to some degree. What I mean is, is that she is becoming stable, but her body is really weak and is having a hard time getting back to full health. She didn't need to be put on life support so things are looking up a little bit.

I'll continue to keep you posted.

Harkoliar 11-11-2004 07:42 AM

any good news is good news

Cerek 11-11-2004 08:44 AM

Thanks for the updates, Gangrell. I'll continue to keep her and the baby in my prayers.

Bungleau 11-11-2004 04:57 PM

Glad to hear it, Gangrell! That's a step in the right direction

Here's to more hope and prayers that they both come out of it fine.

*B*

Attalus 11-11-2004 06:34 PM

Glad to hear it Gangrell. I'll keep up with the prayers.

Ladyzekke 11-11-2004 09:17 PM

Same here, sounds like things may be improving, albeit slowly, which really is to be expected considering... She continues to have my prayers.

Gangrell 11-11-2004 09:57 PM

This really is nightmarish.

I've gotten word that she has gone from improving to relapsing. She's sank into a deeper coma and is now on life support, the doctors say if she is able to gain enough strength and wake up, they'll remove the baby even if it is premature.

Thats all for now.

Ladyzekke 11-11-2004 10:47 PM

:(

Bungleau 11-11-2004 10:53 PM

Some things are out of our control :(

My deepest prayers for health for both of them...

Dron_Cah 11-12-2004 01:34 AM

That sucks, Gangrell. :( I hope this works out, bud.

Callum 11-12-2004 08:02 AM

I, also, hope that this does eventually end, and happily.

Gangrell 11-12-2004 07:18 PM

Better news I guess.

Seems like Andrea's coma level has risen back to a normal one so she'll be able to wheel out of it sooner and her condition is slowly but surely improving. However, the baby's heart rate is slowly decreasing. It seems that if one is well, the other gets worse, I can't understand it.

More to come soon, thanks guys.

Ladyzekke 11-12-2004 08:11 PM

I don't know Gangrell, but I hope she continues to improve, and the baby as well.

Bungleau 11-12-2004 10:03 PM

Ya know, this is one of the first threads I look for when I get in... I hope she'll get well enough that they can remove the baby with a C-section, and treat each of them separately without worrying about harming the other.

Sometimes, life gets really rough... :(

Gangrell 11-12-2004 10:36 PM

Quick update here.

The baby is able to breath again, evidently there was some trouble getting fluid supplied to the lungs. Both are recovering and gaining strength and once Andrea's strength is completely recovered, they'll remove the babe and this'll all be over.
