you know when you're living in 2004 when..

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.

6. You go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner.

7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line.

8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies.

10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.

11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.

12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.

13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen.

14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.

16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile.

17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

19. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list. AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

EDIT: btw i too got this from a friend... :D

LOL at 19 and 20. But for the rest I don't think it's funny that some are true. Even worse if all of them are true. Doesn't sound like being a very social person :D

Jaradu 11-07-2004 12:15 PM

Omg, that is hilarious! :D
Nice one, SF.
Each one is as true as the last, especially 19 and 20

Gxc 11-07-2004 12:25 PM

Wait wasnt this posted before?

Anyway it was great, hahaha.

Stormymystic 11-07-2004 12:34 PM

yeah, I did it, I scrolled back up to check

Maj 11-07-2004 01:01 PM

Oh no! This is so true! Most of these crazy things... and how do you not scroll up? That is a trick!

Xen 11-07-2004 01:11 PM

ROFL. I had a really good laugh.

RoSs_bg2_rox 11-07-2004 02:48 PM

Ack, I did it too! Number 4 amuses me because I see it happen all the time

I admit to emailing the people in the office across the hall instead of going to see them ... in my defence, they had just emailed me, so it was a reply... ;)

I was just thinking how funny it is now - when email was just new, people didn't really trust it and used snail mail for important stuff. Now, I am leery of snail mail (for no good reason, granted), because with email it's an instantaneous thing and I can get a return email of their receiving it!

I can't believe i fell for the last few. Geez im a gookl.

dplax 11-07-2004 04:07 PM

15 is so true for me. First thing I do when I wake up is switch the computer on.

A sad truth I'd say. I used to make lots of calls from Hotel rooms, so 7 has a lot of truth for me. No cell phone here though and doing ok, for now.

-what if your micrwave requires a password?
-5 years since i've played solitair with cards, i will do it now to break that number
-9 phone numbers numbers for 3 people
-no, i "net send" the person next to me, or just talk to them over msn messenger
-i've actually come up with the excuse myself that the reason i don't keep in touch with people is because they don't have email addresses
.
.
.
-i've called my home when i was in my driveway, but i was locked out at the time, and there was no answer at the door, there was no answer on the phone for that matter.
-i like the web addresses at the bottom of ads, i can find out more about cool stuff, although there have been times i question why dishwashing liquid etc requires a web address
-my phone was important to me, then it turns out it wasn't water proof, i've never felt so free and unreachable since then
-if i get up in the morning (hahahha wow, life is so good without school) i turn it on and get breakfast and come back, otherwise i get myself lunch
-i nodded and laughed
-i also didn't notice and scrolled up

hahaha, great list!
i've seen it before, but i didn't remember it to well so this is good. :D
