A while ago, all the free Australian hotmail acounts were upgraded to 250mb. Does anyone has a clue when the rest of the world is next? A friend of my has some Gmail acounts left and I'm tempted to take him up on his offer. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Tom gmail is the best if you need a lot of space :D and in australia was just an error of the server and is already fixed

Well... I just loged into my hotmail account, and it say I have 250 megs of space now.

It's not an australian account, either.

I checked my account, still only 2MB.

All hotmail accounts worldwide are being upgraded to 250Mb, oldest accounts first (I've had my 250 Meg for a good couple of months cos I've had a hotmail account for nearly a decade) so you'll all get it eventually.

you need some big servers to give more than 20 million people that room

Lots of free email company are giving one gig or more now. They probably couldn't stay at 2 megs because of that.

Hmm, I think Microsoft wants to keep its users.
I would love to see the figures showing the drop in active Hotmail users since Gmail came about.

Hmmm, surely I should be soon, I have had hotmail for...*counts*...6 years now I think.

I've had hotmail for five years but my friend has only had hers for 3 and she has got 250mb.
She recently moved country from Denmark to good ol' rainy england, so her account was off for more than 30 days. When she reactivated it she had 250mb. Maybe its because of the time she never went on MSN, maybes its the country. I'm not saying don't go on msn for a month or anything [img]tongue.gif[/img] . We'll have to wait and see who gets it next :D

I still only have 2MB.
