Ooh yes id have to agree...without it, it would be just pointless

Mack_Attack 09-23-2004 03:05 PM

Animal I agree with you on that. No shirt no deal. ;)

And yes that is one sweet ride. I do beleive that a warcraft clan is sponsered by them.

Commo 09-23-2004 03:08 PM

Really? i didnt know that...has anyone here actually used one...I havent and that upsets me im using a crappy Packard bell mix...altho its been changed so many times its nothing anymore...HELL IM USING VOODOO 3DFX...was the point!...i cant even have 3D Animations switched on with SoA or ToB..ut jitters. now thas poor!..so i cant exacly get NWN or Far cry or no good games cos it will be crappy

Animal 09-23-2004 03:11 PM

I do believe Ziroc has been using an Alienware for some time. Last I heard he was happy with it.

And BTW, SoA and ToB don't actually use 3D rendering, even though there is an option for it. Turning it off won't do anything.

Commo 09-23-2004 03:13 PM

Naw... i meen 3D aNimations or accelerastor or what ever in config...it makes the spell and animations more...uhh see-thru lol and lighty try turning it off and on im sure you will notice

Bozos of Bones 09-23-2004 03:16 PM

Meh, I made sicker combos on Alienware. One of the prices went up to 17000Ł. But... ALIENWARE!!!! Dudes, it's, like, Alienware! Yep, I'd feel like an upper echeleon diety with that. I have worked with some of the software tools Alienware uses, and I must say: sweeeet! Man, I can't wait to get rich and buy a full room of Auroras, Area-51s and whatever will be up by the time I'm filthy full of money.

Arledrian 09-23-2004 03:19 PM

I couldn't understand a word of that first post. I guess that's what I get for being cooler than you guys. :D ;)

Commo 09-23-2004 03:21 PM

johnny 09-23-2004 03:25 PM

Commo 09-23-2004 03:27 PM

Commo 09-23-2004 03:35 PM

Heeeeeey come on tell me :( is it beer..its beer isnt it! SEE I KNOW THINGS!...*searches google*

Bozos of Bones 09-23-2004 03:36 PM

"Don't touch my heiny, honey."
And no, it's not about a man's behind, it's what's behind the man, on the table that counts. And that's his majesty, the Heineken!
Just FYI.

Mack_Attack 09-23-2004 03:38 PM

LOL Come on if it has something to do with johnny posting about it can only be one thing. ;)

Commo 09-23-2004 03:39 PM

Ahh bloody hell why didnt you just type Heineken

Stormymystic 09-23-2004 04:07 PM

I don't even know what i'm talking about myself, how can i expect you guys to know then ? :D

Commo 09-23-2004 04:21 PM

We are tailing off the issue this is Alienware not beutiful cold crisp lager mmmmm

Animal 09-23-2004 04:24 PM

Maybe Alienware should start brewing their own ale?

Back on topic, I'm sure you could build an equivalent machine with the same performance for a whole lot less. I have. :D

Oh but not me.. well we can be cool together.

Bozos of Bones 09-23-2004 04:26 PM

Yup, me too! It's a wonder what you can do with just a bit of computer savvyness and a tablespoon of salt. Money is still a factor, but when you poweruse it you get a mean killing machine to play that new 3D MMO Solitare.

Commo 09-23-2004 04:27 PM

Yes but do you have the alien case with the cool blue light...thas the only reason i want one...ooh and the T Shirt as you said earlier animal..it compleates it

Bozos of Bones 09-23-2004 04:32 PM

Well I have a Chieftec case with the cool blue lights and laser LEDs and all that. And I think I got a Chieftec cap with it or something like that.

Commo 09-23-2004 04:35 PM

well arent you Mr Haves it all :(

Bozos of Bones 09-23-2004 05:01 PM

Well, at the time I got it, I felt quite big about myself, and I still do as it runs perfectly everything I can find to test it. 4k+ 3D Mark 2003 isn't a low score, but it's the specials that count. And it only cost me about 1000€, and the day I got it I went to Alienware's website and set up an exact replica for some 500€ more. With the Alienware case with the cool blue lights and the T-Shirt. :D

Vaskez 09-23-2004 07:11 PM

That's crap, where's the monitor, digital camera, printer, TV Tuner card, wireless network adapter, memory card reader, ADSL modem etc. etc.? for that much you'd expect the lot.

Kakero 09-23-2004 10:03 PM

So how much would all that cost? How long will that last you until the next upgrade?

Hivetyrant 09-24-2004 08:49 AM

Mah, the proccesor, DVD burners and the sound card are really the only up-to-date things in the package.
Sure I would kill for a system like this, but there are better, especially with AlienWares dual video array system.

Dave_the_quack 09-24-2004 11:56 AM

Wish I knew what all that meant. But hey, im not supposed to seeing as I work in the IT industry... right?
