Does anyone have the right stuff to make the cat in my sig black, while keeping the smooth, textured, "realistic" look?
|
Photoshop, open it up, select the cat in each layer, paint over it with paintbrush set to 45% opacity, save it and open up in Imageready and save as gif...
I'd do this for you but it's late and I have to go to work at 8 tomorrow... Maybe when I get back if someone else hasn't already done it |
Hehehe, trying to make a lil' Drizzt?
|
Jorath, I wish I did have Photoshop. It can wait, if you would be so kind sir.
Jaradu, how did you guess? :D |
Ill give it a go Lord K, but from what ive seen, the cat wont look too good completely black, so do you mind if its almost black but a bit lighter??? Im guessing you want it to look like a drow??
By the way, Im using Fireworks, so it is a bit more difficult...But I like a challenge. |
http://img45.exs.cx/img45/6096/cat10.gif Ummm, am I a wizard now :D
Tell me if its crap, and ill try again. *EDIT Hmm it seems a litle different on the forum, well here it is, I will erase the white bits in a while, sorry, but im tired. It doesnt look dark enough does it :( Ill make it darker ok??? But if you want it like that I can keep it that way. Just tell me. [ 09-18-2004, 11:00 AM: Message edited by: Hivetyrant ] |

No problem, ill get on to it right now, sorry, I had a bust day.
|
Well here is a darker version
http://img3.exs.cx/img3/6096/cat10.gif Im not the best when it comes to this stuff, I can change the color of the eyes if you want, to make it look more evil or something. *EDIT This version is more of a grey than a black, do want it like this or blacker, also, how would you like the tail? Hmmm, here is one with cool eyes :D http://img80.exs.cx/img80/387/eyes4.gif [ 09-19-2004, 09:15 AM: Message edited by: Hivetyrant ] |
I love it. Thank you very much kind sir.
As far as the eyes, maybe like a dim silver? The red is cool, but not realistic. ;) Otherwise its perfect! |
Oh ya, will that software correctly reverse a gif like this, so the kitty is facing left? I would assume not, but just asking. :D
|
Yeah sure, ill do that today. (reverse it)
|
Alright, I did it at school...
Here you go The reversed with silver eyes. http://img83.exs.cx/img83/1438/Eyesreverse.gif And the plain reversed. http://img31.exs.cx/img31/24/Reverse.gif |
Brilliant! Its perfect!
Drizzt, is now officially a member! [ 09-19-2004, 11:09 PM: Message edited by: LordKathen ] |
Hey does this mean im a wizard now??? :D
|
All Hail HiveTyrant the wizard of Oz!
|
You didnt have to paint over it, the "replace color" and Linear Burn would've worked too and a lot faster

BTW, what software did you use? And, does anyone have an opinion on The Digital Darkroom? I have cought a PBS show a couple times with a guy doing little tutorials with this software, looks really cool. He had a trick mouse pad that sat in front of him and the actuall mouse was a pencil type deal. You guys seen this? |
Woo Hoo Im a Yay
I use Macromedia:Fireworks, I used to use Photoshop, and paintshop pro, but I prefer Fireworks for some reason. The Digital dark room is interesting, but nothing interesting. |
