Hard to tell, kind of dark.

Stormymystic 09-14-2004 08:45 PM

ok, I put up another one

Kakero 09-14-2004 08:48 PM

Can't tell, what was her hair before?

Stormymystic 09-14-2004 08:49 PM

it was long in the front too

Dave_the_quack 09-14-2004 08:50 PM

aww, shes still beautiful regardless, just like her mummy :D

Just laugh it off... every kid does it.. I did it like 8 times. I wouldnt make a big deal out of it though... I think after the third or fourth time I started doing it for the attention heh. But then again, back when I was an ankle biter everything was about me... not like now... noo.....

Stormymystic 09-14-2004 08:53 PM

ahh thanks :D and yeah I am laughing it off, but still kinda sad, we have been trying to get her hair to grow since she was born, lol

Spirits forever 09-14-2004 09:05 PM

aww. she looks cute XD damn.. short hair's not all that bad..but i still prefer long hair. well
everytime that i got a bad haircut i told myself this "it'll grow back" XD ovious but it does help.. and well you could say the same XD

funny...well not really... XD

Lauren 09-14-2004 10:13 PM

Awww don't worry Stormy Mystic I'm sure it will grow back

Luvian 09-14-2004 10:19 PM

She stil look cute in that second picture.

Arledrian 09-14-2004 10:53 PM

Am I the only one to ever notice why Stormy types DEW and not just Dew? And if we're going for all capital letters, why not SKYLER and CALEB too? I just don't get it. I guess it's all that whaccy baccy you folks grow down in Arkansas. :D

Still, the pics are funny, and she needn't worry, she's a cute kid regardless.

Megabot 09-14-2004 11:58 PM

Aww she looks wery sweet to me the hair grow out soon enough Mysti haha

Gxc 09-15-2004 12:29 AM

aww hah, that sucks. But no worry it will grow back.

Bungleau 09-15-2004 12:48 AM

The rite of passage! Now, the big question... before or after pictures?

My daughter did it a couple of years ago. Her hair is finally growing back out... Yeeachhh!! Caused her mom more frustration than me, 'cause I can live with it (and she was still cute enough ).

Stormymystic 09-15-2004 12:58 AM

the reason it is DEW instead of dew is because her full name is Destiny Elizabeth Wiley, so the DEW is capitals of her intials, and that is why she is called that and yeah, she is still cute, but it is annoying cuz now I am going to have to explain to her teacher why it is that she is almost bald in the front ;)

u ppl in arkansas have the coolest names.. DEstiny!! man....that's awesome!

now ppl can actually use the phrase "a date with destiny!!" but you arn't at that stage yet... she'll be a teen soon enough tho XD

Ronn_Bman 09-15-2004 07:02 AM

My co-worker's 3 year old has cut his hair at least 3 or 4 times during the last year. It is always that same cut, too. A reversed Mohawk.

Hivetyrant 09-15-2004 07:53 AM

Wow, in that pic she doesnt have a nose!!!
Dont worry Stormy, she looks fine, I cut my hair when I was younger and so did my susters, im pretty sure most people do it...Now would just be the time to tell her that it isnt safe for her to play with scissors.

Jotin 09-15-2004 10:21 AM

Yeah, when i was little i cut my own hair and ended up poking myself with the scissors.

She still looks lovely, kids are supposed to do stuff like that Are you goign to give her a hair cut to balance it out? She's quite the stylist, maybe she can cut my hair

/)eathKiller 09-15-2004 11:08 AM

She probably just wanted to get your attention. Thats why most kids her age do stuff like that

Cerek 09-15-2004 01:46 PM

LOLOLOL!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of children, Stormy. I figured you would be used to stunts like this by now from your kids.

I understand your feelings though. Our middle son did pretty much the same thing this summer. He got some gum stuck in his beautiful white hair one day while Pappy was watching him. So he promptly got the scissors and cut the gum out - leaving a HUGE gap in his hair. LOL!! My poor wife had a major "kaniption" attack over it. It HAD to be fixed RIGHT THEN....only there was no one to do it. Her aunt is the one that cuts the boys hair, but she wasn't available. So she actually called another aunt's husband to see if HE could help. He lives near us and used to be a Barber. He came over, took a look, and basically said "It'll grow out". Our son's hair was pretty short and is very thin anyway.

She had to put up with the "gap" for about 2 weeks before her aunt could finally give him a full haircut. She had to cut his hair so short that it was just barely a step above a buzz cut (which I thought actually looked good on him).

In the end, I have to agree with the other dad's on the forum...it'll grow back eventually. Then again, we're guys and don't get "freaked" by little things like a "gaped haircut". Nope. We save OUR stress for the IMPORTANT THINGS - like our boys wanting to play with Barbie dolls or watch the PowerPuff Girls.

Bungleau 09-15-2004 02:00 PM

LOL Cerek -- the important things, like those boys sniffing around our girls...

Yeah, I can't wait to be the bastard dad from hell when dating time starts... :D There's a certain joy involved in asking just the right questions to make a young boy wonder if he's going to live through the evening or not

Stormymystic 09-15-2004 02:13 PM

you are guys are so bad... but yeah the difference between a good hair cut and a bad one is 2 weeks but as for my kids doing it...I had forgotten Skyler did it too :/

I have to admit that was something I fantasized about too during our various pregnancies....just WHAT questions do I want to ask or comments do I want to make that will make this hormone-crazed young man fear for his ever-lovin' life??? {hehehehe}

Of course now I have to be the dad that warns his boys to NOT be "that type of guy" towards the girls --- because some of the other dads WILL shoot them if they break the heart of their Little Angel.

Bungleau 09-15-2004 03:16 PM

I've got one son and one daughter... so I'll have to play both sides :D

I just want to get even for what I went through, growing up...

Hehe, that reminds me of something off Blue Collar Comedy Tour.

"She said you be nice to him, and I told her all I was going to do was bring him to the side and tell him this. If you get any ideas of kissing or hugging my daughter, just know one thing, I'm not afraid of going back to prison."

But since I'm the teenager you dads seem to hate, I'll be on my way :D

Dron_Cah 09-15-2004 04:01 PM

Well, I think most of them don't have to worry about that stage for awhile. Well, Stormy doesn't, anyways. ;)

Bungleau 09-15-2004 04:04 PM

LOL! I'll save that line for future use

Gangrell, it's not that I hate teenagers by any means. Heck, I was one, once. ;)

As I've tried to explain to my wife, it's not the teenager that's the problem, it's the hormones. And I know... 'cause I was one, once :D

I'm still waiting to use a friend of mine's words to his children on curfews: You're late, I worry. I worry, you pay. One day grounding per minute late.

We'll see how that goes... eventually

Luvian 09-15-2004 04:05 PM

I'm the kind of guy that usually got liked by the parents.

The parents usually told the girl that she should go out with me...

coyote696 09-15-2004 04:26 PM

yeah stormy is lucky right now, but she almost had a step grandbaby recently, as my oldest daughter was pregnant and i was not aware of it

Me too!

Did that turn your girls off as much as it did mine? :(

Luvian 09-15-2004 07:29 PM

Sometimes. It did give good opportunity, since we were granted much more freedom.
Dude! You couldn't have been THAT desperate? Well I guess you must have been... hmmm... I'd have thought 40+ year-old women would like to have a 20 or so year-old guy come on to them :D

I mean since when is an older guy tougher than a young man? Ok maybe when you're a teenager but it's been my experience that girls' dads are usually smaller and weaker than me, hehe.

Arledrian 09-15-2004 08:18 PM

Same for me, mate. We're both 6'4'' - 6'5'' - but even so, it rarely even gets to the stage of meeting her father. I have a fear of commitment and despite all my bravado, it's not cool per se. Unlike most other things about me.

EDIT: Vask, one girl I went out with had a mother of 37. She was alright man, I kid you not. I wouldn't try it on with a 50 year old or anything though. :D

You're being intentionally crude, Arledrian.

I'm a massive 5'7" 130 lbs personally... I win the mother over to my side & let her deal with the father, if need be -- though recently the fathers have been easy going sorts.
