So what's your favourite type of pie?

Apple, of course -- with a really strong cinnamon flavor in the filling & crust and that cool criss-cross top crust thing :D

Pecan or sweet potato.

pumkin if its done just right, seems far too often it has a slightly off aftertaste though.

I've got a crabapple tree out back, spydar, but the apples are tiny- they only get as big as a big blueberry. Would take a whole lotta them to make a pie! :D

Pizza. It's the best pie out there.

Cherry comes immediately to mind... Warm cherry pie with a scoop of ice cream. Yum. Runners up include key lime, boston creme, and pizza (good call).

Good ol' Scotch pie!

You can buy steak pies here for around a dollar at most supermarkets, whereas a really nice steak by itself will set you back about $3-5.

I love a nice apple pie or a appricot pie.

My wife and I usually take trips upto the Blue Mounatins in NSW to get buckets of apples and then take it home to make into pies.

Does anyone here like apple or apricot danish ?

There is a roadside market I know of that is affiliated with 'Mackey's Orchards' in western NJ. Each year, when we go out to cut down our tree, we stop there for hot cider, freshly baked doughnuts, and a fresh brick-oven baked 8-pound apple pie (for desert for the next week).

It takes over an hour one way to get there.

(And I'd do it for the pie alone!)
