This game can be a bit hard, but can also be alot of fun. Be sure to check it out if you have some time to spare It helps if you've read the book, but it's not really a must.

SPOILER for the people that haven't read the book.

Good game. I solved it with a little help from my mate google.

Great book too!

Dreamer128 08-11-2004 04:02 PM

Yeah, I liked the book as well. Did you need any of the hints to solve the riddles?

Rikard T'Aranaxz 08-11-2004 04:05 PM

the cover of the book is on the page itself btw. You have to use it

Dreamer128 08-11-2004 04:15 PM

Unless you own the book itself, Rikard.

Rikard T'Aranaxz 08-11-2004 10:06 PM

you have to use the cover
the cover is on the page itself

having the book doesnt change the validness of either statement

LordKathen 08-11-2004 11:48 PM

What I want to know, Rikard, is how do you have 4500 posts since only July? http://smilies.jeeptalk.org/cwm/3dlil/eek13.gif

Memnoch 08-12-2004 06:07 AM

Rikard cheated... :D

Your first statement implied that you had to use the cover of the book on the page itself. Which you don't

Sodomatic Goat 08-12-2004 08:32 AM

Yorick 08-12-2004 12:58 PM

The factual errors and complete fabrications in the book really annoyed me.

LordKathen 08-12-2004 01:04 PM

Hey Yorick! Hows it goin? Havnt seen you in a while. We are still friends right? I know we disagree on alot, but thats life right?
I have not read the book, probly won't. Just another opinion in my eyes.

Amen, brother. The idea that the John in Da Vinci's Last Supper could be a woman almost literally floored me.

Um, it *was* in the fiction section. And it had a disclaimer right in the front...

I liked DVC. I couldn't put it down. I finished it in under a day. When I needed to get up to get something to drink, I brought it with me. I only took one bathroom break. I *devoured* that book.

Yorick 08-12-2004 01:59 PM

But that's why I prefer fantasy/sci fi to historical fiction.

i never cheat and memnoch knows that :<

LordKathen 08-12-2004 03:09 PM

Oh never, I'm sure... ;)
So anyway, I know this is off topic, but man! I am still wondering how? Did you just post like crazy or what?

Bungleau 08-12-2004 04:36 PM

Rikard came back after a long journey through Europe and the Far East. Z restored his identity, and granted him his previous posting level.

The topic came up in a "welcome back" thread or something like that.

Yes, a lot of people confused fact with fiction in the book. Still, despite the sometimes blurry line between those two, it made quite a nice read

LordKathen 08-12-2004 04:51 PM

Ahhh-hah!, I knew he was cheatin ... wait a minute ... Z restored his identity? ... I knew that.

Seriously though, thanks. I was really thinking he posted 4500 times in like a month and a half!
I need to lay off the pipe...I mean....oh, nevermind.

LOL - I'd ask you to prove the factual errors - but it's verboten.

The bit about The Last Supper was interesting though. My Sister, a left footer, said she always thought there was a woman in it!!

Illumina Drathiran'ar 08-12-2004 11:36 PM

The speculation about the female in The Last Supper isn't new... I've heard that theory before.

Sodomatic Goat 08-13-2004 08:06 AM

I guess you guys should read the bestseller Holy Blood, Holy Grail (I think that is the tittle in english) it has some of the same ideas as DVC but non fictional... a really hard hitter too btw...
