I'm Blatantly stealing this idea from another board (and I'd do it again!). So let me ask: Who have you met whose Famous?

I'll go first.

Tom Cruise. He's shorter n me, but quite wirey. His sister's very cute. Nice enough if you're non-threatening and its a one-on-one meeting. The Real Tom is nice guy. But if you don't know him, all you'll ever meet is 'The Smile'.

Wesley Snipes- Shorter than me, but body-built to the max. Think of a black 'Johnny Bravo'. He was working so it was kind of a 'hey, what's up' conversation.

Patrick Swayze- Seems nice. Isn't. Less said, the better.

Thomas Keane (Chairman of the 9-11 Committee) - A very thoughtful and intelligent individual. Much smarter than you think he is.

Whoopie Goldberg- Surly. Yeah, OK, it was a Dunkin' Doughnuts at 7:30AM and we were both in line. I smiled and said "Good Morning!". She put her hand on her hip and gave me the 'angry sista' stare. Maybe I should have waited til after she had her coffee.

Hmm, can't say I've talked to many celebrities.

Went to a few autograph signings, though. Does that count as "meeting"?

Pavel Bure, Bobby Hull, Maurice Richard.

Well I've met Billy Connally in a book store in good ol' Aberdeen!

And some select famous Aberdeen footballers! :D

But apart from that, I don't think I have met any others in the flesh.

Bill Clinton and some other important world leaders.

I remember I was in Germany and there was this parade kind of thing. It was filled with children of all races. Somve very important people were there such as Clinton, something something of China, Russia etc. Anyway I went up to the president and was waving my paper flag in his face so he can sign it. (I was a little kid ok :D ) And he was talking to someone else and put his hand on my paper american flag and crumpled it! He then saw me, then signed it and left.

That bastard .

I met a famous physicist named Brian Green... got him to sign my copy of "The Elegant Universe," and we shaked hands...but that's about it...

Jerry Seinfeld!

Yeps, belive it or not, he came here and did 2 shows and had some "taste of Reykjavik" like one of the newspapers put it  , me and my girlfriend at that time (summer 1998) were walkingdown our street and he and his guide walked past us. There is a quiet famous pub on the street which every celebrity who comes here must visit. it was pretty weird to see him just walking there, I didn't recognize him right away but my GF almost had a stroke, she was a big fan. I told her to get an autograph but she was didn't dare...
I also saw Damon Albarn from Blur a couple of times (he was a regular visitor).

I briefly met Steve Irwin.

Saw the comedian Carrot Top while going through an airport once... He greeted someone else (I assume another comedian), but it was no one I recognized.

Met jazz guitarist Earl Klugh at a nightclub in Detroit once. I was there with a friend who dared me to ask to sit in with the band. Some other guy did after I played, and then the band joked that it was open instrument night, and said, "Come on over here, Earl... take your turn."

That was cool...

Just one person, and just a couple months ago. William Shatner. He was riding his little arabian in a horse show at Del Mar. I didn't do more than grin like a school girl and say "Hi!". But i did recieve a smile and a "Hello" back :D

Gary Allen, Mcbride and the Ride and once along time ago a guy named Michale Damion, not sure if anyone remembers him but he played a character on a daytime soap opera and then was a singer who bombed quickly...

Sagramore 07-26-2004 11:14 PM

I shook hands with Micheal Owen at a Liverpool-Celtic game today (5 miles from my house...amazing!)

I met Dave Matthews twice, and he remembered my the second time...i felt special

Err... let´s see. I met the French/Dutch singer Dave in a French hotel once when I was very little and started singing all different songs in the hotel's restaurant "just to get noticed" (he's very famous for his chansons in France somehow, not that known of in the Netherlands)
I met the footballer Wim Kieft in Amsterdam once, as well as footballer Patrick Kluivert who was visiting a church there. I was there on a school trip.

You probably don't know of them, but hey.. they're famous people.. I think

Yeah, that really wouldn't have been too fun for them :( Still, they seem to have gotten over it, thankfully.
