So, boys and girls, what is everyone's inital feelings towards Nightfall?

IMO - Much better than Factions, perhaps even Prophecies. I'm not very far in as yet but I'm liking the layout a lot more than dirty old Cantha.

Godlike. I'm playing through with a couple of my guildies, trying for Protector and Explorer on the play-through. We're on Ventrilo, and every once in a while someone goes "Wow... My god this is beautiful" or "Wow! That guy looks AWESOME" and stuff like that. I just did "the party" mission. I really didn't expect something like that in Guild Wars. It's just really really really good. Seriously, I think we've found The Game. The combat, the story, the characters(that have depth and good voiceacting), the scenery... everything is perfect.

Yeah it is fantastic. I am loving this and Can't wait to get my bananna scythe!!!!!

Tried the first major mission (the Diggings) last night with heros. Stupid mistake. They're better than Alesia-the-tank-wannabe, but we still fell. I now know how to do it, so at least when I go in for a repeat, I'll succeed ;) .

Overall, a grade of B so far. (leaves room for the improvement I know is coming [img]smile.gif[/img] )

Loving it so far, but taking it slowly. Just had to go and cap Searing Flames for my ele though :D

Make sure you use your command flags to keep them in place or set the heros to aggressive, defensive or passive.

Hmm I think with the way I play my Dervish that Vow of Strength is going to be one of my best elites.... now just to get down there to cap it.

Yeah, I keep forgetting the flag system. Have they improved the "Agressive, Passive, Guard" system yet? In the preview, it did NOT work well at all!

I'm taking it slowly, too. My ele has died, and I'd do her over but she has a witches hat.... My new ranger finally fell last night but she's so much fun to play,I think she'll just keep going (don't really have much use for the title anyhow since I have a MM with it already in Cantha). Besides, the giant pink plastic chicken (that's what my son calls my flamingo) provides just TOO much enjoyment ;) .

Have you seen the completed map?!?!? It's HUGE. Lots and lots and lots of fun times ahead for me [img]smile.gif[/img] .

Edit: Does anyone know offhand where the first elites starting showing up to cap?

Hmmm I found my first elites are around the Sunspear Sanctuary. Im not sure if you can cap any on Istani.

There was a recent update to correct some AI changes so they should be working better now.

Where are you upto?

There are several elites on Istani. Can't remember them, but they are there. Especially in the quests.

The only problem is, no cap sigs are available yet... maybe after the Diggings mission?
