I'm lvl 49 atm, and im halfway to lvl 50. Should i grind my way to 50 or quest, which one would be quicker? I'm grinding the pirates at Tanaris.
Also should i take up this trait to a higher lvl.

What class are you?

Timber Loftis 03-28-2006 09:37 AM

At level 49 you should camp in the BG's and not trade in any honor tokens until you have a stack of 20 (the most you can carry). If you aren't senior sargeant, you should get there. I wish I had camped at 49 for muuuuuch longer. If I had sense about me, I'd have gotten to Blood Guard or higher and bought mad phat lewt. I always spend the last two levels in BG's. 28-29, 38-39, 48-49, etc. You get the picture.

Been playing for almost a year, and my druid is only lvl 42.....

Grinding is the craappiest part of the game and is what makes me not want to play it anymore.

Timber Loftis 03-30-2006 02:24 PM

Quit playing it now, then, because at level 60 you'll discover that you have left behind levels and are now grinding loot and reputation (for more loot) and reagents (for more loot). 90% of the end game is a grind.

You think the grind is bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Nothing at all. It's a grinding-based game, through and through.

So, maybe of my 101st run through UBRS I'll see the Dreadmist Robe drop, because I haven't seen it in the previous 100. I'd love that Darkmoon Faire necklace, but to get that many tickets, I believe I need to kill about 3600 bats, based on the drop rate. I want the +22 Int enchant from the Thorium Brotherhood, but to get to Honored with them it'll take me about 200 trips to BRD.

Enjoy!

Darkmoon Necklace - Take up skinning and head over to Winterspring *wink*

Thorium Brotherhood - All the quests, then the hand ins (kingsblood, leather or iron), then dark iron residue.

I got my necklace last month, and after not seeing Finkle's Skinner or Zulian Slicer drop in a LOT of runs, I dropped it for my favoured Engineering.

Costs a fortune to level though...Got 40g and no epic mount.

My god, has it been a year already? Yeah I can't grind anymore with chars it kills me.

Well i dinged 50, but after what Timber said I'm not quite sure i was ready. But life goes on and there is still lvl 59.

Timber Loftis 04-03-2006 12:33 PM

Mmmm.... nope. At level 59, you'll be running end-game dungeons. I tried to camp at 59 and it lasted ..... a couple of days.

But I also had good scholo/UBRS/strat gear early.

Don't fret, though, those end-game dungeons are hella fun and quite technical. Now your task is to grind. Grind hard. Low-mid 50's grind was very depressing for me, and I almost quit. Just suffer through it and get to 58 and start going to whatever dungeons you can.

It will be harder for you now that Scholo/Strat/UBRS have had their cap lowered. Whereas I could get into a 10-man Scholo at level 57, you'll be hard-pressed to get into a 5-man before 60.

Bah! Grinding for levels are for the sissies. Real player will quest for levels. There are enough quests out there that will bring you to lv60. ;)

Timber Loftis 04-04-2006 01:50 AM

Ummm.... Kakero is right -- by "grinding" I meant "grind-questing" -- There is no other way that I personally grind.
