We have recently placed some exhibit-only BlizzCon tickets on sale, for those of you who are interested in attending BlizzCon and trying out the World of Warcraft expansion set. See the recent announcement for more information about this limited supply of exhibit-only tickets.
Great damn news! I'm really looking forward to seeing the in-depth previews they talk about... When does blizzcon start?

SecretMaster 10-06-2005 07:29 PM

Ugh... Blizzcon... what a rip.

Anyway, it was pretty much known they were coming about with this expansion. Blizzcon starts October 28th-29th.

Teri-sha Illistyn 10-07-2005 01:22 AM

Only 1 person in our guild is attending, and she is mainly going so she can have a Murloc Pet. LOL

AFAIK it was only suspected and this confirms it

I read on a gaming site from one of their reporter that there will be 2 new races in the exp. One alliance and one horde, but he can't talk about it because of the NDA.

I wonder if it's true.

Could you provide a link to that site? I doubt if its true.

If it is, I've honestly lost all faith in WoW. I can't even see two logical races for each side.

1) Some blood elves (storyline would change of course)
2) Ogres for horde?

Hivetyrant 10-11-2005 05:23 PM

The rumored races are the Naga and the blood elves.
But as fun as two new races would be, it would definantly cause havoc to the story line and would just seem like another grab for cash to me.

They can't actually do that. First they gave a half-ass reason for aligning the Horde with the Undead. Now they are splitting up Naga and Blood Elves? I don't care what reason they give, it is inexcusable if they use those races.

As for Ogres, there is only one tribe of Ogres friendly to the Horde, and that is the StoneMaul. They are located in Dustwallow Marsh, but other than that most of the Ogre's have separate tribes.

The gnomes definetly need to be replaced, what a joke they were.

Where do you get that idea?

Sir Degrader 10-11-2005 09:51 PM

Well, they look and sound idiotic IMO. Besides that reason, it wouldn't really make any DAMN SENSE AT ALL to replace them.

Perhaps it's a very cunning ploy by Caydiem. I looked at a webpage about getting to the Airport, and someone said it had a griffon tent/buildings and a tunnel leading to IF (blocked). Perhaps this is the opening area, and she (or he?) is telling us because it'll make everyone think blood elves or high elves or naga or whatnot, and trick them?

Or it's a new race *sigh*

Mescaline 10-13-2005 09:12 PM

Uugh, new race. How could they possibly stuff these factions any more? I mean, Undead and Gnome barely made it in my book, but at least the Undead are mentioned in lore, Gnomes are nowhere to be seen.

People think of WCIII as the beginning to WC lore. But that isn't so. Gnomes were well mentioned in WCII. And the dwarves or WCIII relied upon Gnomish technology.

Mescaline 10-13-2005 10:03 PM

I never heard of the gnomes in WCII, and I haven't play WCI, so maybe they dominated all of WCI, who knows!

No they were definately in WCII. Gnomish flying machine and submarine. And the basis for the dwarven demolition squads were based off of Gnomish technology I believe.

I am such a nerd sometimes...

Mescaline 10-14-2005 06:27 PM

Ooooh. Now I remember. Haven't played WCII in awhile. Still, gnomes as a playable class. Stretchin' it thin Blizz...

Sir Degrader 10-14-2005 07:16 PM

How about goblins as a playable horde race, with MORE bloodelves as a possible ALliance race?

Goblins are strictly a neutral race. All they are interested in is $$. Therefore they must attain a friendly relationship with everyone. Bloodelves don't work with Alliance, it would be completely contradictory to the plotline.

Sir Degrader 10-17-2005 05:17 PM

Unless they change it. How about Panderans?

I don't know where this Pandaren craze came from. Pandarens, to my knowledge, are a very primitive race that inhabits Northrend. And then the WCIII expansion came out, and they added in a Pandaren Brewmaster. Just for kicks I think. Because there is no official Pandaren city or empire or anything for that matter. Just one hero added in for WC. And they already added in all the possible continents for Azeroth.

However if they did add Pandarens, they would logically be a Horde race due to the fact that Chen Stormstout aided Rexxar in his quest.

And this supposed "Pandaria". A bite my thumb at whoever brings up that arguement.

Kynaeus 10-17-2005 06:26 PM

IIRC the Pandarens were announced to be the fourth race for W3 as an April Fool's Joke, The Night Elves were later revealed to be the actual race.

SpiritWarrior 10-17-2005 07:03 PM

All I know is I am really looking forward to this. I just hope it lives up to WoW.

Sir Degrader 10-17-2005 08:32 PM

Unless they somehow manage to come up with the same server woes, I doubt it. A feature I hope they DO implement in an AH in each city. IF is getting to the point where alot of people I know simply mail their goods to a trusted frien/family member to AH, the lag is so bad.

Gnarf 10-19-2005 11:02 AM

They're adding undead gnomes, no doubt

SecretMaster 10-19-2005 03:43 PM

Oh dear, it seems that it might be Pandaren/Blood Elves.

www.warcraftcentral.com

We are having a discussion on it here http://www.warcraftcentral.com/forum...112#post159112
but beware of language.

If this is no hoax (which i doubt), I am thoroughly pissed.

Sir Degrader 10-19-2005 04:08 PM

HA! I knew it!
