Well.. now i can officially say that i am obssessed with Evanescense, any one else like me out there?

edit: i found them out when i bought the Daredevil cd which has many good sound tracks in it. and when i heard them playing i bought thier cd as well. they are great.

I like Evanescence. I've had a the CD since a little while after it came out and have listened to it a lot. It's nice to listen to on occasion and I still enjoy it quite a bit.

Rammstein? mmm I've heard a few run in the background of a radio talkshow and I liked what I heard.

What, you mean the lame Linkin Park-with-female-gothic-like-ish-vocals-just-to-get-more-credibility abomination? ;) Heard it for the first time when it was still supposed to be "underground", but it was just a way too obvious attempt at being hip, at trying to appeal adolescents all over the world to get major chart success - at first I didn't even know why the underground radio station was broadcasting it; figured it had to be a parody of some sorts, with the overly cheesy elements that were used in it and all. ;) Also noticed that other Evanescence songs are quite different from Bring me back to life, which leads me to suspect that the record company had a more than average hand in changing the original demo into the way too simplistic Linkin Park-inspired monstrocity it eventually turned out to be, just to guarantee instant chart success and jumpstarting their career. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon37.gif
I'm not saying it's a bad song per se, I might have liked it myself if I was 5, 6 years younger - but it's far from brilliant, and very, very cheap.

I don't mind evanescence, although they are overrated, they're not all that bad.

If you like them, check out lacuna coil or the gathering. Not quite the same thing, but a lot better.

If you like Evanescence, you should try Lacuna Coil. Same stuff, only without the crappy commercialism and corny nu-metal tunes. Waaaaay better singer too.

Nothing is wrong with Evanescense and Linkin Park, some people just reed too much into things (Grojlach [img]tongue.gif[/img] ). Both have some great songs, though I'll admit the more I'm starting to lose it for My Immortal, has kind of a depressing mood to it.

I especially like Linkin Park's newest album "Meteora". I admit that I used to be somewhat of a fan, but that's more or less in the past. I still like their instrumental tracks (such as "Cure for the Itch" and "Faint")

Link - Yeah I have to admit I like quite a few of the songs off Meteora. Linkin Park lyrics are way too simple compared to the stuff I usually listen to but it's nice for a change sometime since they're more musical than rap.

Rapping-wise they're not great, but their music has some wicked things in it. Listen closely and you'll notice they'll do a couple of nifty things [img]smile.gif[/img]

I have Fallen, got it sometime before they wen't really big cause I saw it on a site. Still listen to it sometimes though I think the ones that were picked as singles were the worst of the album. Still listen to it sometimes just as I have some linkin park cds, some songs are good. Again I had it before everyone thought they were cool like evanescence. Don't like their new stuff much anymore. So I still listen but times are rare. I do like some of those old evanescence songs but they are very different from fallen and I can't get them anywhere (no kazaa or something alike here [img]smile.gif[/img] )

I thought you just had some a few samples and didn't know which one to listen to. Maybe if you have a good CD shop you can listen to the CD before buying it. Though I suppose there aren't many who have these CDs
