What do you think about a button, which brings you directly to the last post . Now you always start at the top of the last side and you have to scroll down to the end to find the last answer.

Oh mighty Choc, forgive me, if this function already exists . If it exists, please instruct your humble minion, because I havn't found it. :D .

There is just no end to people's laziness.
(and I do include myself in the word 'people')

<span style="color: lightblue">There's a way to do that already - open the thread and scroll down until you see the quick reply.

Press END button on your keyboard and it will bring you to the bottom of the page.

*giggles* Well said Mel.

I'd like a button that takes me to the post I want to read. The button should of course be able to read my mind and take directly to the very paragraph that contains the information I'm looking for.

Bungleau 04-15-2004 09:37 AM

Hmmm... lazy blind people, eh?

I'm a big fan of "end key - page up", to see the very last post. There's also that link in the upper left side, the one that reads "Jump to new posts"? That might be helpful to all the lazy folks out there.

'Course, you do have to actually click on it, which might be construed as work in some parts of the civilized world... and even the not-so-civilized parts, like Cleveland.

Such a sharp tongue Bungleau. :D

Mind you don't cut yourself. :D :D

Oh... well there goes my whole believe system...

Forget the buttons. The computer should just read our minds and take us where we want to go. Then order the food we want and program robots to make deliveries and bring it to us. (note: I'm not actually as lazy as that makes me sound, nor do I desire to be. Doesn't mean I don't have my moments though.)

What belief system is that?

Willow, you forgot to add that it should also make tea and coffee and rub your feet. ;) Get to it, Dan!

Nevermind all that! We should have to scale a ten foot wall in order to see each and every post, just so that we actually get some exercise instead of sitting on our butts, letting them fill up with that prickly sensation while we post and eat our cheetos!

Seriously, just make a person run on a treadmill for about four minutes for every page they want to load, Z! Then you wouldn't have to pay so much for the hosting, becuase you wouldn't need so much storage!

Or maybe hide the post under hundred pound rocks! Maybe then I wouldn't be overweight for my height...but no, I probably just wouldn't visit...I'd probably go to some other site that required even less effort...

Although it is a lot of effort to think about things to write about, isn't it???

Oh, and btw...Loudhy, you do have a decent idea...just prolly not a necessary one...lol.

Kakero 04-15-2004 01:23 PM

How about if we don't need to turn on the computer and access the forum through normal way ( like we are doing currently ) we would still know what is posted on the forum? and with mere thought our reply will be posted in the forum also? Wouldn't that be great? Can Z make it happen? :D

Bungleau 04-15-2004 02:23 PM

What, Skippy? That thing about work bothering you again? :D

Personally, the 802.11G wireless feed directly into my brain, using eye and fingertip movements for mouse control and data entry respectively... that's what I want to get to. I won't even need to get out of bed in the morning :D

Ehrys 04-16-2004 01:46 AM

Wow... having things reading our minds and doing things for us... hmmm, actually that sounds an awful lot like what my wife expects from me. Nope. Too much work.
:-P
