This is crazy stuff man. The only bad thing I did at that age was take a $20 bill from my dad's wallet, cut the picture of the president out, and taped it on the board with the other pictures of the presidents that we were talking about in Kindegarden. Yeah, I got my hind-end reddened for that one. |
As the great Dave Barry might say...
Only in Miami. |
Man that is sick! I can't even remember the 'bad stuff' I did when I was that age. I think I was just playing outside with other kids all the time, but wherever I look that seems to be dying out too with all them kids staying inside to play Nintendo or computer games.
|
Kids that young have little concept of what they're doing. The fact that they could get a hold of the stuff is a testament to the parents worthlessness. This is as bad as the grade school kids who take guns to school.
|
Or parents applauding their kids to commit themselves to aggressive and violent behaviour? Although the kids I'm talking about were a little older (15-17), I heard the flabbergasting news that a parent thought his son was doing nothing wrong when he had almost killed someone (or perhaps he did kill him, I can't really remember). Talk about crazy parents and their idiotic morals and thoughts about society.

Crazy world these days...

Hmm, it's things like this that make you wonder what is running through a parent's mind when they give their children such things.
Only proves one theory I guess, some people are too stupid to breed. |
Words cannot discribe the incompetence this world is made of these days. This is one of the reasons I do not believe in the theory of evolution. It's said we've evolved to be more civilized and more intelligence. I see NO sign of intelligence when we're so stupid that our own children, kindergarteners even, are in the possession of illegal drugs. I could go on and on and on and on and on about how idiotic this world is. *shakes head* Sometimes, I just want to get onto a local radio station, and let everyone know how incredibly stupid we are. My god, what a horrible story. All those good drugs lost to an evidence locker. :(

The theory of evolution actually doesn't say anything about whether we've evolved to be more civilized or intelligent. It merely states that natural selection will encourage the survival of the organisms most suitable for the environment. Yes, natural selection has favored the offspring of the more intelligent humans over the past 50-100,000 years but we're now at the point that our intelligence allows us to overcome natural selection in many ways. Stupid people survive despite being apparently unable to take care of themselves or their offspring. You could say that we are driving our own evolution and that of the planet at this point. When our lack of insight finally leads to overcrowding, rampant spread of sexually transmitted diseases, global warming, and God-forbid nuclear warfare -- well lets just say that evolution may yet have something to say about our development. |
For sake of academic intelligence, please everyone just remember that evolution is still only a theory and has yet to be proven. I'm personally highly skeptical of it; however, this is all off topic. We were talking about little kids caught with illegal substances, right?
At any rate, the idiocy of the parents of one or two children does not set the standard for the entirety of the human race. |

You know the saying, 'Familiarity breeds contempt'?
In sort of an unrelated roundabout way, I've seen similar desensitization concerning children and alcohol. I work with a guy, whose redneck qualities are at the 'peak' of their evolutionary perfection . Anyways, he's got a five year old and a two year old. He's building a new house, and when he finishes at the end of the day, he sits back in a lawn chair in front of the bits and pieces of what will someday be a house. While relaxing, he prefers to have a can of what he calls 'The Drink of the Gods' a.k.a. Keystone Light. That's all good and well for him, but he has his five year old run over to the cooler and fetch him beers one at a time. Besides being demeaning, he's reinforcing behaviour that associates pleasure with alcohol, in a five year old. I mean, a man( person for you P.C. snobs) should be allowed to have a drink, but it seems wrong to be employing your five y.o. to fetch it for you. Crass. |
