I'm solo'ing as a wild mage right now and was wondering where I can find these scrolls. :D

you can find many ninth level spells in the elven city, sorry i dont know the exact locations.

Xenow 07-31-2002 11:20 PM

Ewwwww, anywhere earlier in game to get them then that? :(

Illumina Drathiran'ar 07-31-2002 11:32 PM

First off, welcome.

Rest assured, friend.. When you're high enough level to cast those spells, you'll find the scrolls. Take it easy and have fun!

Timestop you don`t find for the first time in the Elven City: rather, near an elven city.
To be precise, in the Underdark. (drow are elves, after all ;) )
EDIT: Also, I think that you can find some more in Ribalds "special wares"
Contingency I think you can find in Spellhold, but you might have to wait aslong as the City-of-Caverns.

You can actually get them well before you finish the game.....but only if you dash through the Main Plot quickly and run almost all the way to the Final Battle, then turn back around (pretending that the city isn't in the midst of a huge crisis from which only you can save it) and go do all the other piddling little quests that you left behind.

You DO have ToB, right? Or an EXP cap remover? If you don't, you won't be able to cast those spells at all, soloing or no soloing.

That's the one problem with this game.. There's no time to do the side quests without feeling guilty! Once you raise 15 grand, I feel so obligated to run directly to Linvail and save Imoen, you know? Do anything else and my dear sister is suffering needlessly. After the Underdark, every minute you delay means more elves are dying and you're withering away inside! What a dilemma.

Given the way Elhan treats you, I am sure the oh-we-can-take-care-of-ourselves Elves will not mind a 'slight' delay before you decide to show how things should be done. ;)

You can get those scrolls at Ribald's special wares but only after you come back from the Underdark. They're a bit expensive though (about 10,000+ gp I believe). BTW, this time around I went straight from Irenicus's dungeon to Nalia's keep, the to Aran Linvale, then to Bhodi's, then to the Asylum. I'm finally out of the Underdark, but Imoen and Nalia are within 7,000 exp of each other. I do all my side quests in chapter 6 after talkin with Elhan.

Hehehe.. That's when I did my quests this time around.. After I killed Bohdi, I kinda just took it easy, wandering the streets of Athkatla, making plans to vacation in Calimshan, dinner with Renal Bloodscalp, sleeping for weeks straight to trigger stronghold quests, feeling occasional pangs of guilt for abandoning my elven kin, getting drunk, and having a grand old time.
