Have you guys played Blood Omen 2 before? It's a great game.
But this.. this is just unbearable. I'm on the level where Kain destroys the Device, and reached the end cinematic for the chapter. It includes Kain and Yanos blah blah, Yanos and Vorador blah blah, everyone else blah blah. Then the cinematic just stops; not stops stops, but the camera is focused on Kain, and he's just looking on into space, rolling his shoulders back occasionally. I'm guessing I'll be forced to reload the game, but I haven't saved since I started it back up (about two and half hours ago).. Argh! Blast these game complications!

Nanobyte that does really suck, but you should know better then to not safe your game. :(

Nanobyte 03-16-2004 12:44 AM

I know, but sometimes you get caught in the moment, you know? I was so happy to be finally done with those Hylden, that I wasn't thinking about saving my game.

Blind_Prophet 03-16-2004 12:57 AM

Yeah I've done stuff like that several times.

I kinda know how you feel Nano. I was playing Soul Reaver 2 on PS2 and there's a glitch pretty early in the game. When you're going to the Darkness Forge IIRC, if you scare the raven crow things in front of entrance away then the exit doesn't work properly and you get trapped inside. I found out the hard way and hadn't saved my game for awhile.

Ah, SR2. Great story, horrible gameplay.

I managed to get past it, turned out I could still save while in cinematics. Don't know why. But sheesh, BO2 is long. It took me one weekend to beat Soul Reaver 2, but I'm still playing Blood Omen.

Only thing left for me to play in the whole series is BO1. :D

Nanobyte 03-16-2004 06:15 PM

Well, seems I'll never see the ending to BO2. After doing a near whole level of fighting Hylden, running from enormous (and unbeatable) demons, and leaping from box to box in a large expanse of water, the game froze again. The stupid person that I am, I didn't save at all. And there's no way I could ever convince myself of doing all that again. So I've decided to quit, and just take it back.

Oh well, seems BO2 follows in SR2 tracks. Great story, horrible gameplay.

Yeah Soul Reaver was a pain, but I loved the game, just didnt like the way it ended..

There is a nice hungarian saying for situations like this which loosely translates as : "Let never anything worse happen to you" i.e. stop complaining about a bloody game ending freezing on you... it's not the end of the world

I played Morrowind for 11 hours one day and I died and my closest game save was the one I had started with 11 hours earler I never sleept even one time so I had no save points.
I was so pissed I didn't play morrowind for almost a week after that. I now have a post it stuck on the one edge of my Computer screen that says "Save your GAMES DUMMY". I have another Post it on the other side of my computer screen that says "Did you save Your game yet Stupid:?
I haven't missed a save for two years now HA! HA! :D

How about the saying in my sig

Heh, I guess that saying generally promotes optimism, but there are some situations where I reckon a person is allowed to let life get them down without them sucking e.g. a loved-one dying etc.

Random nitpick: shouldn`t this be in the Games forum?
