Dude, how do you even know if the people here know who Nightmare and Kilik are? I know, I have the game, but next time, give an explanation on who these two are. Also, this thread is in the wrong place IMHO.

Let me explain

Nightmare and Kilik are two characters in Soul Calibur 2. This is in the wrong forum man.

We all know Nightmare would win! Why? Well Kilik is a stupid guy witha wimpy staff. Which is better a twig or a big ass sword! Kilik may have speed on his side yes but Nightmare has a combonation of both speed and strength.

What the crap, did you just say Nightmare had SPEED? The guy is slow with his attacks because of how much powers he has to put behind them! He's not speedy, he's slow! I did a Battle Theater with them, and Kilik won, so thus, Kilik wins, polls are over. :D But now, we all know who the real heroes are in the end. Mistrugi and Maxi!

Nah, Nightmare kicks ass! :D He is teh best char, cuz he has the strenght and decent speed. Also, he can use Soul Calibur and Soul Edge [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Twig!

Nightmare wins. He is actually relativley fast for his damage output. And he is much cooler than Kilik.

OH MY GOSH!!!..i can't beleive there are actually ppl here who think that Nighmatere...a character who IS OVERPOWERED imop..

and slythe...NIGHTMARE..uses a Big sword and wears heavy armor and STILL losses to Kilik..why..cause he stinks..I mean yeah kilik uses a staff and wears light clothings..But that is enough to beat nightmare..so that shows how strong he is [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Ok Nightmare is not as fast as the idiotic goody two shoes guy. But his speed is decent as The Fallen One and Niadh said. His attacks to a large amount of damage. And Kiliks retarded attacks do much less. One punch would send Kilik flying away! Not to mention one slash of his sword! Plus he is so much cooler. Kiliks dialouge is so cheesy! He is the typical every day good guy anime character! Whilst nightmare is menacing,evil and dangerous!

Nightmare overpowered you say? Really!

Overpowered characters have more power than regular characters right? Otherwise how would they be overpowered if they cannot defeat regular characters like Kilik?

Ah, but what use is a strong attack if you can't actually hit the speedy bugger :D ?

Ok I admit that Kilik is speedy. But in the game it is impossible to dodge every attack that is thrown at you, human reflexes are not that capable. Kilik is fast and delivering blows. He can strike from a distance yes but they are only vertical attacks. Which you can easily sidestep and can see it coming from a mile away. He needs to be pretty close to deal his horzontial attacks. Nightmares vertical and horzontil are of fair distance. Not very far but not too close either.

Night with the Sould Calibur sword, but Kilik if I'm playing ;)

Kilik has a crappy dialouge, I'll admit to that. It's very annoying at times, but Soul Edge for Nightmare... Well, complete it just looks really really.. stupid. There's something really wrong with a big mushy thing of eyes, but his Soul Calibur looks awesome! And trust me, I really think Kilik is better. His attacks are faster then Nightmare's and his may do less damage, but more can be dealt in shorter periods of time. I still say Maxi and Mistrugi whoops everyone :D

Well, given the limited choice, I'd take Kilik - I regularly beat Nightmare with Kilik. Siegfried's coolness is gone, and now he is Nightmare's cheesiness.

Besides, I'll take Xiangua and beat anybody's arse anyday -- she rocks. Have YOU beat every level of Weaponmaster, Have YOU got every special weapon and every special costume? I think not!!

I'll take Xiangua, that's right, a little girl, and cream any of you anyday. If you prefer I'll take Taki -- you're still dead. ;)

Xiangua IS good, a bit annoying, but very good, oh and BTW, I HAVE beat every level of Weaponsmaster and gotten every special weapon and costume, think again dude :D

Well, I'm doing it my second time through, damn memory card went on the fritz. [img]tongue.gif[/img] But hey, who else are you good with besides Xiangua?

Kilik. [img]graemlins/heee.gif[/img] No, seriously. Taki too. Talim's a fun challenge -- she has to do the backward stance to get my favorite moves. I like Raphael, too. (Raphael's a great cheat when you just want to bull your way through)

Maxi's great for pushing buttons and letting out a constant stream of offensive manuevers, but I CANNOT control him. It's almost like stream-of-consciousness fighting. Mitsirugi is kinda fun, too.

I like Assassin a lot and have supposedly "unlocked" him twice now, but I still can't find his picture or see how I get to play him.

I prefer speed to brute force anyday -- so I do not like to play Astaroth, Berserker, Nightmare, etc.

Lately I'm trying to learn to use Sophita and what's-her-name, the other shield-chick. Seung Mina is fun, too, but I think Kilik's moves are superior.

"The other shield chick" is Cassandra. And shouldn't this thread be moved to the games disscusion?

I don`t know who these guys are. But anyway Klilk would win. :D

<font color=deepskyblue>Well I don't have the PS2 version of Soul Caliber 2 (although I admit that game alone is enough to make me want one). I discovered a local store had the arcade version quite by accident and decided to give it a try.

My favorite was Astaroth and that Big Axe of his (then again, what else would you expect from a barbarian :D ). His special attack was easy enough for a novice to learn and I used the discus attack to send many opponents flying clear out of the ring.

I also judge it by my ability with similar games. I never made it past the 2nd round of Mortal Kombat. There is another arcade game similar to Soul Caliber and I did manage to beat the first 3-4 rounds in it...but with Astorath, I could beat the first 5 opponents without really even breaking a sweat.

Of course, the first time I played it, I REALLY took exception to some mamby-pamby karate boy in pajamas being the one that finally beat me with his stupid nunchukas. I mean, come on, at least get a REAL weapon and put on some armor.

Oh well, I absolutely LOVE SC2 - and may even break down to buy a PS2 just to get that one game. If anybody knows of a PC version of Soul Caliber coming out, I would dearly love any info on it.</font>

Anyways, I personally like Xiuanga(sp?) too, as well as...*drumroll*...YUNSUNG!! :D His moves rock! He's just so unpredictable...plus I like his weapons.

Link rocks too! Biggorons sword, man! I own anyone with that beast equipped...

I can play well with Nightmare too...but he has no style, really...all he needs to do is slug 'em with his meat cleaver a couple of times, and its over. Not to mention he has some kickass armour. Anyone notice how hard it is to bring his life down?

Oh, and just for the record, I hate Beserkers...stupid b*****d... :D

For the record, Berserker is cheaper than Nightmare. Now the real question is...would Mitsurugi w/ Damascus Sword(An INCREDIBLY overpowered sword) or Nightmare(any weapon)? Mitsurugi. I just cheese it up cuz once i land a throw(he has most powerful throw and most powerful legendary weapon), its over.

I mean the afore said Mitsurig's Triangle, X throw brings em down to half- health. Only one who can come somewhat close to that is Taki w/ Kris Naga. Everybody is cheesy in their own way [img]graemlins/heee.gif[/img]

You should see some of Ivy's combos! Range, speed, AND power! Plus defensive switches if dodged. They're damn hard to execute, but pure poetry! Must be the combo of FM Boots, leather, and a whip .... [img]graemlins/1drool.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/showoff.gif[/img]

I'd say Yoshimitsu's fun to use. His moves are crazy, like this one, you stab through yourself to stab the apponent, funny as hell. :D

Yoshimitsu's move where he "stabs through himself" is, IIRC, an under-the-arm stab, and it combos quite nicely after the diving sword stab, when your opponent is naturally behind you.

As Kikik's the only char I've bothered learning some moves with, I tend to just spin around all the time when playing as Yoshimitsu.

Lei Fei'd kick any SC chars arse, btw.
